Bamboo Fun usb device not recognized

My Bamboo Fun tablet was working perfectly fine the day before. Then I unplugged it to take it to my family's place and use it there while visiting.
Now when I plugged it in this morning the blue ring did not light up and widows popped up a "usb device not recognized" error.

I uninstalled, restarted my pc, then re-installed the software but still nothing.
I haven't contacted wacom customer support. A couple weeks ago my pen quit and they never answered my help request, so I'm not going to rely on them for anything.

SOURCE: Wacom Bamboo Fun Pen isnt working correct

I think you dropped the pen on its tip and broke the little ferrite sensing core.  You can try to repair it by gluing the core back together - it worked for me.  For detailed instructions on how to do it, go here: http://wishidknownthat.blogspot.com/2009/04/fixing-wacom-bamboo-pen.html  or you can try to swap the core for the eraser and the tip (more involved - you would need to be very good with a soldering iron to attempt this).  Either way - it's unfortunate that the pen is so fragile and that the user manual doesn't really warn you of this.
Good luck!

SOURCE: Wacom Bamboo Fun Tablet-Mac. Yellow box pops up under pen cursor.

Your tablet is set under the handwriting setting. Go to system preferences and select ink under hardware. Then turn off handwriting recognition.

Bamboo fun appears to have a mind of its own. This is the second time I have had this problem manifest itself. As son as the computer is booted (Vista OS), the tablet causes the cursor to go to the top...

This is a suggestion, not necessarily a solution;
Go to the Device Manager (you know how) and disable all HID's ... like mice, keyboards that you don't absolutle need to start your computer.
In your environment, also remove / turn off any fluorescent lamps.
Why not MOVE the computer from there as a final possibility? Use the other computer's HID's.
... hey this is baffling!

Bamboo Fun won't work w/ provided software

Hello,

I had the same problem when I got my laptop (Vista OS). The solution is to update the new driver for your bamboo. They are out of date so you need to go here: http://www.wacom.com/downloads/driver-detail.php?id=196 Updated @ Apr. 9, 2009

This update should allow Vista to find it.

Bamboo Fun won't work w/ provided software

I think you need to select the right tool to use with the tablet, I like to use the tablet with the lasso tool. If you want to draw use Adobe Illustrator. If it works as a mouse I think you just need to learn how to use the software you are dealing with.
