My Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch tablet isn't picking up the pen. It can recognize my finger perfectly, but even though the tablet recognizes the pen's presence (it lights up), I'm lucky if the cursor gets anywhere. Help?
You need to install the Driver. When you do, it programs the Gestures and Pen connectivity. If this doesn't work. I'm sure you can go to the site and report it, be sure to get the check back to your box.

That happened to me yesterday. What I did was I went to the wacom site here: http://www.wacom.com/downloads/drivers.php, selected my tablet make and operating system, and downloaded the driver update. I installed it and as soon as it was done my pen started working again. Hopefully this works for you too!
he solution is to update the new driver for your bamboo. They are out
of date so you need to go here:

I had the same problem and called Wacom Customer Care at 360-896-9833... I was informed that the pen was defective/ broken and needs to be replaced. This can be caused by being dropped and such. I was told that i should keep the pen on the stand or a eyeglasses case when not in use. If your tablet is under a year old, warranty will cover the cost of the pen with proof of purchase. Other than that, you will need to purchase a new pen (about $29.99 from Wacom & online).
