Bearing for armerture shaft bisssell vacuum model 33A1

It's a Bissell . It isn't made to repair. If you are determined to repair it you can get the bearing at your local vac shop. It will likely cost more to fix than it cost to begin with unless you do the repair yourself. Most vacuum motors , especially the cheap, Chinese ones are meant to be replaced not repaired. That's not to say it can't be done. It's just not financially advisable.

How to replace cord on phantom modelafv9038 ?

Try YouTube for videos or best plan is to leave it in with someone who knows vacuums. Don't risk taking it apart yourself unless you are confident around dismantled things. If it is a press-to-wind-up reel rather than a wrap-around-two-lugs cord, the most likely problem is the wires have become fatigued and have broken inside the insulation. A vacuum repair shop only needs to trim beyond the broken wires and then re-connect everything. They should not be advising you to replace the whole cable and certainly not to replace the whole reel assembly. hope this helps.

Kenmore 1400 Zig Zag Sew Machine. The power cord broke and when I opened the machine-end plug, the wires popped out before I could see where each wire (power and foot/knee control) went. Now I do not know...

First what colors are the wires? Usually the 3 positions should be earth, neutral and live. These 3 positions are supposed to be the main power supply into the unit. The 4th cable you are refering to what does it connect?
First thing i would like you to do is identify which of the cables represent the 3 positions as stated above. After that then we can try to determine what the last cable is meant to do. Let me know the color and sizes of the cables. Usually the sizes are written on the cable in mm.
Hoping to hear from you soon.
Hope this support has been helpful?

How do I change the electrical cord? It has broken off right at the unit.

If you can disassemble the vacuum and get to where the wire goes into the machine, you can probably repair this.
Once you locate the wire inside the machine, you either have to disconnect the wires from the switch at the terminals or if there is a place where there is room you may be able to use wire nuts to splice the wires together.
Strip the cord coming into the machine, remove about 1/2 inch of insulation from all wires and connect matching colors.
Use normal electrical cautions.
Let me know how you do or if you have more questions?

Fliter queen repair

Hi there,
I generally don't like answering questions like this cause it could lead to unwanted problems. But I will say that if the individual wires are color-coded (each wire is a different color and can easily be determined which go to which) and you are handy with some electrical tape and know about how to make wires connect, then you may be able to do this yourself.

If you are NOT able to determine which wires go to which wire, I definitely do NOT recommend you trying to this yourself.

If it is obvious to you which wires go to which, splice them to clean edges, connect metal to metal, wrap two connecting wires tightly with electrical tape, then once all wires are wrapped to one another, bunch all together and wrap all with electrical tape. That's it.

It's fairly simple, but again, YOU MUST, I STRESS MUST be able to distinguish which wires match which wires from the detached (thanks to dear sweet puppy) wires. :) Bad puppy!

Hope this helps at least some. A good repair person shouldn't charge that much to do it for you.

Best, Jenn

Electrolux Central Vac - very hot where tube attaches to handle

Hello randpmarion,
Because you said you had intermittent power and the area where the wire is got very hot, there is a high probability that you have a poor electrical connection inside the handle. Left unrepaired, it could pose an electrical hazard or fire hazard to you. If you unplug it and can disassemble the arm, look for evidence of carbon or arc damage near where you felt the high temp but I would not use it as is until it is repaired or replaced,
Regards
Rick
