The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it. Make sure this fan is running. You may have to hold the door switch in for it to run. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp.
The problem could be the electronic control if you have one or the mechanical linkages.

If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of cold air and eventually affect the freezer too.

Freezer appears to be working, but not the refrigerator section - at most that will only get to 50 degrees. Manually switching to propane makes no difference.

Sounds like your cooling fan is out. If the freezer is fine and the fridge isn't, then the cooling fan isn't blowing the cold air the the fridge. Or you could have ice obstructing the airflow.

Freezer part is working fine. fridge part is barely cool on the highest setting

Sounds like your cooling tube ia blocked by an ice buildup or something. Some refrigerators have a fan to draw the cold from the freezer to the refrigerator and if the fan quits, then the cold is not drawn out of the freezer.

If it isn't a frost free freezer then it is probably just a case of needing to defrost the freezer.
