My g1 is PUK locked
A
request for a PUK code ("Personal Unlocking Key") will appear on your
phone if your SIM card PIN code is entered 3 consecutive times
incorrectly.
Your SIM card will then become
"PUKed" or Blocked. This is a security measure to protect your service.
You
need to call the Customer Service department of your cell phone
provider and they will give you the PUK code which will unblock your SIM
card.

Adding a Google account to your phone is optional, but highly recommended, and necessary in order to access the Android Marketplace. If you have a Gmail account, use your sign-in for this, otherwise sign up for a Google account at https://www.google.com/accounts/NewAccount

My G1 Android will come
the best solution is to hard reset, follow the instructions bellow
1. Turn the G1 off. If it's frozen on, take the battery out and put it back in the unit.
2. Hold the Home and Power keys down at same time for about 25 seconds. You will see a yellow triangle screen with exclamation point in the middle.
Now to wipe the device clean:
3. Press Alt+L.
4. Press Alt+W for a factory reset.
5. Press the Home and Back keys again for about 25 seconds.
The device should then reset again and the hard reset is complete.

To transfer files from your computer to your phone's storage card, you
need to set the phone's storage card as a USB drive. Connect the phone
to the computer using the USB cable, and open the notifications panel.
Tap USB connected and then tap Mount, the phone will appear as an external USB drive in your computer.
Hope this help.

Yes. A SIM card only holds the account information so the phone knows what account to charge minutes and other things to.

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
Please explain your query in a bit detail. How this happened. Did it started at its own or it happened after some certain event. Is the set repaired ever since the problem started.... Waiting for your response...
Concerned.

The touch screen dont work
With the handset powered on take the battery out. Wait one minute, and then reinstall the battery and turn the handset back on. If that is to no avail, then you will need to contact your wireless provider as the device does come with a 1 year warranty, and as long as it is a manufacturing defect, then it should be covered under that warranty. If that is not an option for you, I would recommend looking for a cellular phone repair shop. There is one called CPR, but I am not sure if they are in your area.

SD Card is inserted, but
Hi jerilee436,
Let's start with easiest thing first...
Take out your SD card and re-insert it and see if your phone picks it up. (If you don't already know this is how you locate the SD card:
http://www.fixya.com/support/t8475945-g1_memory_card_slot)
If that doesn't work, you can try putting your SD card into a card reader (You may already have one on your computer. However, if you don't ask try asking a friend if they have one OR you can purchase one from here:
http://www.amazon.com/Sandisk-MobileMate-Plus-Memory-Reader/dp/B000Q3IUV2). If the card works in your computer try formatting it and putting it back into your phone. Still doesn't work? Try a different SD card in the phone. If that ALSO doesn't work then you likely have a bad card reader in your phone :'(
You'll have to call up your cell phone provider and see what they can do from there.
Hope that helps!

- You will see a folder that says "DCIM" (This is where your pictures are stored)
- Open DCIM and view the pictures in the folder "Camera"
- Drag the photos you want to copy into the "Camera" folder
- Safely remove your G1 from your computer (Windows: "Safely remove hardware" OSX: Drag G1 icon into the trash bin Linux: Unmount)
Now open the "Gallery" application on your phone all all of your photos should be there!

Does the g1 have a memory card slot? if so,
Hi fbednarczyk!
The HTC Dream (G1) does have a memory card slot for micro SD cards.
Hold the phone upright in your hand and look for the green call button. Once you see the call button look directly on the side of the phone you should see a small flap. Open the keyboard and you will see a little knotch pull this towards you and volia! That's where the SD card is!
