its a power supply problem

Sounds like a blown capacitor on the main power board. look for the cylinder shaped capacitor on the board that the top looks bubbled up (rounded not flat). It's usually 2200uf capacitor. you will have to unsolder it and replace it or just replace the board. Capacitor $5 board moe like $200. try the cap first. they are available at radio shack. may be different in size. you will have to run extra wires to the new cap sometimes.

Unfortunatly, this model does not pass audio thru, optical output will work only with tuner.

Try changing the the Audio Setup in the Digital Setup Menu.
If you have your manual, go to pg 11 and pg 28 for Digital Audio Output. If you need a copy of your manual, here's the link.

When you say WD box, do you mean a Western Digital Hard Disk Drive? If so, get a Solid State Drive (SSD), and connect it via USB3. The HDD or the USB connection is not fast enough to keep up with the required speed of the video. If you mean something else, please add details.

Check the high voltage circuit on the board that has the 120 volts input. The high voltage should be close to 400 volts - nothing less than 390 volts. The capacitor is failing to hold the voltage and needs to be replaced.

un plug tv and try to force on by pressing vol_ and input button from tv then plug back in see if tv comes on .
