Jl Audio 12W7 Car Subwoofer - Page 7 Questions & Answers
I have a 1200 watt
Turn down the volume or power settings on it since its pulling too much power and shutting off for a few sconds to keep from blowing. Depending on the amp and speakers your using dont bridge the channels. If it won't come out of protect mode then unhook everything and just hook power, ground, and remote and wee what happens. If it comes on again and stays on then amp is blown.
Which amp goes with 2 jl audio w3v3 4 ohm
Choosing a amp isn't always easy but it first begins with what you want.
--RMS of the speakers is what you want to use to find your amp.
That's going to tell you what watt's your speakers can REALLY handle @ 4 ohms.
--Also what you want to spend $$$ will determine how clear it sounds.
--I prefer a Rockford Fosgate amp for base and kenwood for highs.
--Also look at the RMS watt's rating to find the proper power and go a bit beyond what you want so that the amp performs with ease.
--Last but not least you chose the amp for how many speakers you are going to connect to that amp. For example if you are using 2 JL audio 12" for subs, then a mono amp is perfect. But if you are connecting 4 speakers, you should begin to find the amp with four channels so that you obtain left, right , front and rear sound.

I have 500/1 JL audio
u can bridge the ohms up on each speeker i need to know your speaker specs and how u got them wired to continue helping you
How can i get a
A normal wiring setup to produce a 4-ohm load is what you usually see - each speaker is wired to one channel of the amp. This is series wiring. To get a 2-ohm load, you need to wire in parallel. Here's how:
Take sub A and wire the positive terminal to the positive terminal of channel 1 on the amp. Wire the negative terminal of sub A to the negative terminal of channel 2 on the amp. For sub B, it's the opposite - positive terminal of sub B to the positive terminal of channel 2, and the negative to the negative terminal of channel 1. That's parallel wiring, and will produce the 2-ohm loading (and subsequent increase in output) that you're seeking.
Reset amp
Remove the speaker load. If this does not solve the problem then your amp may be damaged from being connected to too low an impedance. Make sure your amp is capable of driving the speaker load you have connected to it. Ohms is a measure of the speaker's impedance. Lower ohms means higher load on the amp. Using a speaker with 4ohms is safe for car amplifiers, some can do 2ohms but very few can safely do less than that. You didn't specify the model but I'm guessing that all JL amps will do 2 ohms no problem.
Power on green light is
Light is on so suggests power, earth and remote turn on cable all ok. Now you just need to test the RCA signal and the AMP output. I take it you have used low level RCA as the input from the head unit? (two cables usually red n white although can somtimes be other colours) best way is with substitute amp n speakers etc although can be done with osciliscope or headphones. Once it is established the RCA signal is fine then you can check the speakers from the amp. disconnect them at the amp and put each of the two wires briefly to a battery, any battery will do e.g. 9v PP9 or 1.5v AA etc you should hear a pop from each speaker as you do it. that proves the speakers and wiring to them.
If there was no signal from the RCA the cables may be bad - requires testing from head unit to amp
failing that the RCA output may be reduced or turned off via a menu in the head unit
Or the RCA output from the unit may be knackered.
Sorry its a bit long hope it helps

Help with code radio for my nissan pp2787h
The radio code is a security feature that's meant to deter theft, and it's unique to each vehicle. If you've lost your code, you'll need to contact a Nissan dealership or service center and provide proof of ownership. They should be able to help you retrieve the code. Please do not attempt to use codes from the internet as incorrect attempts may lock your radio.

No sound from wireless headphones in a toyota sienna
First thing to do is check to make sure that the batteries are properly charged.
Second, make sure that you have a clear line-of-site to the IR transmitter. Infrared (IR) works the same way that your TVs remote control works - if the signal is blocked, then you will not hear any sound.
Third, make sure that you are in the rear seat of the vehicle when listening to the sound. The IR transmitter only transmits to the rear seat, so you will not hear any sound if you are sitting in the front seats. This is a common problem that i see.
Lastly, make sure that the heapdhones you purchased are compatible with your 2006 2007 2008 2009 or 2010 Toyota Sienna. Remember that some older models require RF headphones, not IR headphones. I checked http://www.audiovideo2go.com for compatibility before I purchased my headphones. They have a useful listing of all the headphones and models of vehicles they are compatible with.
