-> Unplug all the USB devices connected to the computer ( Less keyboard + mouse ) please use corded kbd+mouse if possible rather than a cordless device.
-> Go to device manager
-> Delete all the USB HOST CONTROLLER -- All of them --
-> The host controller might reinstall them itslef, let the computer handle the reinstallation
-> If the computer does not reinstall the host controllers, trigger the detection using the DM function " Scan for new hardware " ( The computer with magnifier icon )
-> Once reinstalled, clean boot
-> Reinstall the software, plug the hardware when needed.

This TB delete the usb ports " memory " means if a device as been previously flagged with error, it will redetect the device without the flag, unless there is some serious issue with the hardware/OS

Sound not right
Most people make the common mistake and use a USB HUB, Make sure you are not doing that and plug it directly into your machine. If your not doing that you need to send this back to logitech for a free replacement, they have a 1 year on these types of issues.

Mac not seeing Logitech USB headset
Hi
In such cases neither the Mac nor the headset is bad. It’s a temporary blockage for all USB ports and devices. To get it back to working pull the PRAM battery will sometimes help with things like this. Remove the PRAM battery and then let the computer sit, with no power cord or battery attached, for 20 minutes or more. Actually, the described procedure results in resetting the SMU (System Management Unit) of a PowerMac G5. See this Apple technical note http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1436?viewlocale=en_US
Let us know if you want something more else accept the solution.
Thanks for contacting fixya.com

MacBook not seeing headset
Hi,to know if the problem is from the headset or from your macbook, press the mute button on your headset, if the light comes on it means power is getting to the headset and the problem is from your macbbook, but if the light doesn't come on,it means your headset is broken and you have to contact logitech, however,if the problem is from the macbook,it means the present update on your mac is higher and more complex than the headset, which means you have to uninstall you present update(downgrade your macbook)so it can recognize your headset
Thanks and take care

Logitech Headset m/n A00008 will not do voice-over video editing
Wisdom_share
To solve your headset audio problem you would need to let the PC install the your device driver. Once that is finished right click on the speaker icon to the right bottom and select the Playback Devices option. You should see your device headset icon right click on it and choose Set as Default Device and that you would guaranteed to you work for you. Good luck to you!

Unknown unit
My suggestions would be to try a different USB port. If that does not work, uninstall the drivers for the headset and then reinstall them. Sometimes driver files become corrupt and the products that use them won't be recognized. I hope this helps. If it doesn't, please let me know and I will attempt to troubleshoot further.

Usb thing popped out
this would be alot easier on a desk top but something like this happened to me awhile ago and what i did was open the compuer and find where the cord connecting the usb port is. Your cord most likely got disconnected and you need to connect it again. That should fix it.

Dog chewed off usb connector need pin to repace
You will have to buy a USB connector cable and cut off one side. I hope you know how to solder. The USB cable is very cheap, and if you know how to solder well, your problem is solved.

ClearChat Pro USB headset asks for driver upon install
- (Vista) Confirm your system restore point first. It needs to be prior to what you're going to attempt here. If it has a recent restore point, great, but if not, make a system restore before you do this, in case it doesn't work.
- In the Control Panel, click System, Advanced System Settings, click System Protection, and click System Restore.
- (Optional) Try updating your usb drivers before trying the final step, reinstalling the Vista Service Pack 2.
- Here's how to verify if your USB (drivers) in the Device Manager are up to date.
- Open the Control Panel, System, Device Manager.
- Open the Universal Serial Bus controllers (usually at the bottom of the device list).
- Right-click, on your first USB, Updating Driver Software. It will look for the update or let you know (which may take a bit of time) that it is up to date already. Repeat this process on all the USB devices.
- If that doesn't work, try this: plug in your headset, and keep it plugged into the usb.
- In your Windows Updates, re-install the Service Pack 2. After Vista reboots your computer and finishes the install, unplug your headset from the USB and then replug it in. What you are likely to see is a Windows message indicating that it sees the software and is installing it (minus the windows pop-up message of "where's the driver disc for it?").
- Now the trick is to get the headset to play the microphone through the speakers appropriately!

My friend can't hear my voice.
Check settings on your computer. Specify your operating system (vista/xp). Also check if the mic switch is turned on.
