Why cd rom is not showing
Where is it not showing? Under 'Computer' where you see your hard drive and other partitions? Or have you checked the device manager, and it's not showing there?
This looks like an issue that's being caused due to a modification or corruption of a few registry keys.
You can try the following to see if it works:
Note: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.
1.Press 'Windows key + R', type in 'regedit' (without quotes) in the run box and hit enter.
2.Locate and click the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
3.If you see UpperFilters in the pane on the right side, right-click UpperFilters, and then click Delete.
4.Click Yes to confirm the removal of the UpperFilters registry entry.
5.If you see LowerFilters in the pane on the right side, right-click UpperFilters, and then click Delete.
6.Click Yes to confirm the removal of the LowerFilters registry entry.
7.Exit Registry editor and restart your system.

Really is not a problem, my question is if can I
yesyou can,, you need a sata hard drive, any size will do. just purchase the sata cable, sata power adapter for the atx power supply and a splitter. put in the drive, connect the splitter to the power supply, and connect them to the hard drives and pulg the sata cable to the board.. thats it your done..

When computer is booting up, tap your function key F8 then try Last Known Good Configuration (your most recent settings that worked) or Safe Mode. If still doesn't work, you have format your computer. But before to format your computer don't forget to save or back up your data or documents. Good Day

The northbridge from your motherboard is not making good contact on you MB. You need to replace *********** board or to reheat the northbridge with a heatgun, so the solder under the northbridge will flow and solders again to the board.

You probably need to set your boot order in BIOS (setup) to load from CD first. Reboot the computer and press either F1 or F10 repeatedly until the setup (BIOS) menu comes up, then, using your arrow keys, navigate to the boot menu and set the boot order to CD first.
If you can't get into the BIOS through F1 or F10, try other "F' keys until you get in. Also the "Del" key.
Recovering to factory settings is kind of a drastic measure just because of a system hang. You would be better served to find out why the system hung. IN FACT, understand that depending upon what is wrong, the system may hang during the recovery, leaving you with fewer options for repair.
Post back if you want to try to troubleshoot this further. It will take a while, but we should eventually be able to determine what is causing the hang.
It could be just an application that needs to be removed or re-installed. Have you installed any new software recently? What software were you using when the hang occured? What operating system are you using?
It could just be a virus or a bad memory module. Are you able to boot into SAFE MODE" (press the F8 at boot)?
If you can boot into Windows, go to "Start" > "Control Panel" > "Administrative Tools" > "Event Viewer" > "System" and check for any error entries. Also look at the "Applications" log.

Most laptop or PCs, has a combination keyboard pressing keys, that invoque the restore routine.
usually F11 or F10.
others has DVD, check and see what you have of these two.
in the first one, you recover from a disk partition the whole OS.
Bios update fore presario 8000
Its all about go to HP page, and bios updates, the instructions are there too!
but be aware you have to be more specific on model, and BIOS dates.

Then scan your computer with each program, and quarantine anything found. B. If your computer won\'t boot, or can\'t operate properly after boot... Tap F8 when you are booting, select "Safe Mode With Networking". Download and install Malwarebytes and Superantispyware (Note: If you can\'t do the download on your machine, do it on a friend\'s, put them on a thumb drive, and install them from it). Then scan your computer with each program, and quarantine anything found. C. If this process finds malware, to keep stuff like that from coming back, I recommend you get the paid version of Malwarebytes.Good luckG
