1-Turn on your DVD player.
2-Open the tray.
3-Press 9 five times, you will see a number (for me it was 6, you'll see it on the screen, where the DVD displays all messages, like a blue bar up top) then I pressed 9 a few more time until the number being displayed there turned to a 9, when it does then press enter, now it's region free.

press PAL/NTSC from your remote or from dvd player.

it is the lens which is uable to read the disk so probably you could change the lens

Remote code for GPX dvd with RCA RCR 311B remote is 3368. OK.

Sorry if there is no code for your product in the manual you will have to do a code search to see if it will work with your product. If I can get the remote model # I can tell you how to do the code search. Or you can call Direct tv at 1-800-directtv and they will help you also.

unplug device for 5-10 min.......plug back up before dvd tries to reload press the stop/eject button

its the disk laser sensor is to sensetive that why it canot reads with an ordinary disk or a pirated disk or a disk that has a small scratch.

Try this. When player is in standby mode,manualy on the player press the power button and hold it in for about 10 seconds to reset processor.

A cable could cause this problem. I would try using a standard RCA patch cable and go from the composite video output of the DVD player to a composite video input of the TV. See if that produces color. If not, the DVD may be at fault. On the other hand, if you get normal color, the S-video cable could be bad.

took out the dvd player and inverted it and pushed the advance disk button . There was a disk stuck between the disk slots. The door opened and I removed the disk.

Why ask the same question 4 times, once would be significant. Contact the manufacture or if you're using a universal remote find the codes online.

Most likely it's not something you can fix, can take it to a repair shop but it may make more sense to buy a new one.

You pressed the 'MUTE' button on the remote. Press it again ONCE. Don't double press it for luck, or that puts you back to MUTE.
