Hello ive got same problem
if it is fine when it got to them it is the chip in the tcon board at the top they heat up pretty good. take it out of the tv. and put the board on some grease prof paper and put in the oven at around gas mark 6 get oven heated up to temp put the bard in the oven on a tray for 10 min with something fairly heavy and place it on the chip has to be flat on it. i used a weight 2.5 kg. turn off oven but don't remove for 5min then take out and leave to cool down. when it is cool down put back in the tv an replace the sponge square that sits on it you can get these off ebay or at maplins. should work fine after this is done.
Samsung LE46M5 lost picture can not even get menue
t con board fuse may have blown very cheap to replace on the t con board there is a letter P on the board near to the cable end check this with a meter if blown replace with a nintendo fuse they are the same rating and cheap and easy to get hold off, or you can go to maplins and ask for a micro fuse 0.5amp fuse.
Lost my picture but still have audio
t con board fuse blown can happen when switching devices, on the t con board there is a black square looks like a resistor has a letter P on it replace this, I use a nintendo board fuse they are the same rating. should work fine after it has been changed check first to make sure it has blown will have no resistance and not beep if you have it on beep on the meter.
Samsung TV Screen faulty
t con board failed if its half and half. can also be a lose cable on the screen to the tcon board from the lcd screen side. Tcon is in the middle off the screen on the back.
Tv comes on but after couple of seconds lights
check the power board on the 24v side this is for the inverters.if fine then shine a light in one of the side hole in the screen at the back to see if you have a picture if you have a picture then check the relay on the power board is working its a black square there are 2 of them. when you turn on the tv you should hear click then click thats the power and then the inverter power. if you have 3 click that is the inverter power switch turning back off. if you not having this problem. then the 24volt side has a fault. would think off hand the 3 pin power chip its a half moon top. they are prone to over heat if they are next to the transformer. failing that there is a logic power chip 4 pin you will see a white line and the chip is crossing it. hope this helps.
I have a samsung le46m51b no picture just audio
Tcon board failed check the fuse on the board marked by the letter P on it check it is ok no screen can be the fuse has popped this works in milli amps. if a failing capacitor on main board or on power board it blows the fuse in the tcon board in the middle of the screen back you need to take all boards out and remove the cage mind the cables when doing this. unscrew the 4 screw on the silver case covering the t con board un clip the cables off the screen ( with finger lift the black/brown flaps from cable end up) carefully remove the cables from the tcon board, now looking at the tcon board you will see a row of resistors and one marked with P on it check this. using a meter. should read no resistance and if on buzzer on meter should buzz. if don't buzz, remove the fuse with soldering iron, replace with the same fuse from a nintendo ds they are the same blow rate. before turning on the tv when you put everything back check the capacitors on power board the 16 volt 1000uf check these for damage as this is one of the main areas to cause the tcon board fuse to blow. also on the main board there are 3 capacitors 2 the same size and one that stands up more check these as the power goes to these first before going to the tcon board side. you need to remove them to test them. if any problems with these replace them. when replaced and you have checked there is no faults you can see on any board then turn the tv on. should be fine then.

Tcon board fault. (screen driver) in the middle at the back of screen. can be the fuse on the board its marked as P. if the fuse is fine then the board has gone it can be the row of brown thick resisters at the top part of the board if they are greasy they have over heated. look for heat marks from the main chip in the board these would need to be replaced. if you need a new or used board to replace there are a few out there but they have been updated. you need to match the part number try to get the same V number but there are so meany V0.0 up V2.5 they will all work the same but they have a few changes in screen control you may not be used to. so try to get the same number.
