COMCAST REMOTE AND SAMSUNG TV
I was having the same issue with a Samsung 4053 40"
Comcrap had no clue.
Their phone rep suggested I come in and trade out the remote. That seemed unlikely if others are having the same experience. It is also unlikely a phone rep would have any answer other than what on the web page.
I used 5 digit code "10060" and it worked got the double flag from the remote like Comcast's documentation says. It turns TV on and off and works volume. So far so good.
The key to figuring it out was getting the double flash on the remote 4 digits didn't 5 did.
The moral of our story? Comcast has no clue what they push out the door. I guess that isn't a surprise to anyone.

Remote not working!
Hi, I have just had same problem and rang Samsung who sorted it ! All that was required was to reset remote by taking out the batteries then press power for approx 10 seconds and then replace the batteries and hey presto it worked!

Digital Tv is stuck on a channel
I have found the solution at last :)
Put the TV in standby and press these buttons in order
Info, Menu, Mute and Power on.
You will then see a hidden menu, on line 12 select reset

We were watching tthe TV and
Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.
To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

No signal onthe screen
If you are connected to a high definition cable box or satellite tv box you would not need to turn to channel 3 on your television. The television would need to be in the right input either component or hdmi. If someone connected the tv to the cable box or satellite tv box with a coax cable like an antenna cable then the tv channels will be available on channel 3 as well but they will not display in high definition. You change channels with the cable box/satellite tv box remote control. If the above is not correct and you are only connected to an antenna cable and not to a cable box or satellite tv box you will need to complete a channel search from the tv menu. It sounds like you are using a cable box/satellite tv box and that the tv is on the wrong input. If the cable box/satellite tv box is not working (i.e. just a black screen) on your television than that is a different matter entirely.
