How do i replace burnt fuses on stanton t62 m2 turntables
If they are the glass type fuses then they might still have the wattage on the metal ends.
However that might be the least of your problems. Fuses blow like that due to an overload. So you should look around for a shorted device such as a power transistor or anything having an heat sink on it.
Just got my pair of Stanton T60 decks out of the box for the first time in a while, and I'm not getting a signal out of either. I changed one of the cartridges with no luck. Whats likely to be wrong?
Have you checked what you have them connected to?
The best way is to connect your deck to the amp and remove the wires to the cartridge. Switch on the amp. With your finger, touch each of the cartridge wires one at a time. You should hear a loud buzz, one on either channel, from two of the wires. The other two wires may produce a slight buzz, but it doesn't matter if they do or don't. If you get no buzz from any of the wires then either the connections between the deck and amp are faulty or the pre-amp inside the amp has failed. This will not affect any other amp functions.
If you get a very weak buzz on the two channels, you have no magnetic cartridge pre-amp on your amp. In which case you need to connect the decks to a dedicated "phono" socket, which has one built in, or buy a Magnetic Cartridge Pre-amp.
Pins in arm retracted, unable to connect to cartridge pins?
You mean the 4 pins are stuck or have you solderd the wires first, too slow and know the plastic they fit in is melted . case one: use some grease(made for this purpose) and take pin by pin and ten they need to move after a couple of times and come back at theit start position by the spring in it, second case ... too bad and if you haven't done a thing then it's like 80% of the problems here, caused by lack of maintenance. Technics which have 20 year old capacitors which are never changed and still use the same rca cable and then they they wat 500 euro for such a unit:) funny guys.
