I have a broken nut on the pole how do i fix it?
RemingtonPower is no longer in production, The "Coupling Nut" was replaced by a "Thumb Latch" neither of these nor the entire pole assembly are available.
You might try this (no promises).

Someone recommended using a hose clamp in place of the nut.
I think these are band-aids and eventually you will need a part that cannot be found.
We rarely get inquiries for McCulloch or Poulan electric units. Might be worth a look.
If you care to try on your own start here:

What kind of oil solution do I use in my remington
I recommend bar and chain oil (SAE 30 with additives to make it adhere) available at hardware stores and home centers.
From a Remington OM, page 9 (edited).
FILLING OIL TANK
1. Remove oil cap.
2. Fill oil tank with SAE 30 motor oil if the temperature is between 30 & 75°F
- Colder use SAE 10 oil.
- Warmer use SAE 40 oil.
3. Replace oil cap at once. Tighten oil cap firmly for a good seal. This will avoid oil seepage from tank.
4. Wipe off excess oil.
- It is normal for oil to seep when saw is not in use.
- Empty oil tank after each use to prevent seepage.

Did you try a different outlet (circuit breaker) and extension cord? if those are good logical choices are brushes (NLA) or field windings (also NLA on most models) Remington is no longer in production and odds are very good replacement parts would not be available even if you found a repair shop. Sorry.
May I recommend a name brand replacement? Someone you expect to be in business for the next ten years. Often additional cost is defrayed by many fewer replacement parts over the life of the product.

Remington Polesaw 10
Sounds like either the motor is going or that you need a new chain. Is the chain old and dull and is it difficult to cut wood? If so I would try running the saw without cutting and see if the motor smokes. If so the motor may be on it's way out. If you smell an electrical motor winding smell, it's probably time for a new chain saw. I don't know that I would get a new motor for yours as it probably at least $50 and you might want to consider going to another brand like Poulan. Hope this helps!

I returned to the instruction, input pn 107319-02 clicked search and got "107319-02 - USE REPLACEMENT PART # 110966" $7.50 Please use the "View Part" link and ensure this is what you need.

Use bar and chain oil (bar oil is SAE 30 with an addative to make stick to the bar and chain) available at home centers and hardwares. Excerpt from a Remington OM follows:
“FILLING OIL TANK

2. Fill oil tank with SAE #30 motor oil.
Note: For temperatures below 30°F, use SAE #10 oil.

I NEED TO REPLACE THE POLE FOR MY 14
You provide no model number, limiting how much help we can provide.
Remington.com
http://shoppingcart.msservicecompany.com/Default.aspx
- Type "YourModelNumber" into the "Search for your unit by Model:" window, then click search.
- Click the "YourModelNumber" - Remington Electric Chain Saw "View Model" link.
- Click “View Owners Manual” or "View Illustrated Parts Diagram" link.
- Type "YourPartNumber" into the “Search for your parts by Part #:” window, then click search.
I went to the link, input "RPS96" as a model number, eventually selected the "View Illustrated Parts Diagram" link. There is a pole assembly pictured (use the parts diagram as a disassembly/reassembly guide) but is applicable to only certain model numbers. It is $45 (please call and ensure it is the entire assembly) plus $20 for shipping.
RemingtonPower is no longer in production, and parts are becoming difficult to find. $65 is a substantial start toward a replacement saw. Eventually you will need parts that are not available.
I had nothing to do with stopping production and should not be punished because you are unhappy with Remington. Whatever you decide Good Luck. HTH

Conector from pole saw to chain saw
You provide no model number, my results may not apply to your saw,
I went here:
Remington.com
http://shoppingcart.msservicecompany.com/Default.aspx
- Typed "RPS96" into the "Model #:" window, then clicked search.
- Clicked the RPS96 - 8 Ft. Electric Telescoping Pole Saw "View Model" link.
- Clicked "View Illustrated Parts Breakdown" I think you want item 7, 107551-01, Pole Saw Assembly
- Clear the "Model #:" window; type “107551-10” (coupling nut) in the “Search for your parts by Part #:” window and click search. NLA (Internet search for “Remington 107551-01 also NLA at every site that lists it.)
- There is also a part number "111304-01" (thumb latch) depending on the pole you have installed. It is NLA at Remington but appears to be available at "Master parts"
http://www.masterparts.net/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=MPD&Product_Code=111304-01
Part #: 111304-01 Price: $9.60
Description: SPECIALTY PARTS: *KIT, BRACKET (DSSP-SH3) (REM-17)
If this is also NLA, try an Internet search for "Remington YourPartNumber". eBay may be your only source.
RemingtonPower has stopped production, Replacement parts are mostly exhausted. Eventually every part will be NLA.
I worked fairly hard to provide this answer. It is a very thorough answer and it is not fair to punish me if you are unhappy with Remington. Good Luck HTHLou

Need new chain for remington pole saw, model
It should, I have been on this earth to long for a definate answer. Both saws have 40 drive links, are 3/8s, and a gauge of 0.050. Please verify my findings here:
Oregon Bar & Chain Selector
http://www.oregonchain.com/pro/lookups/selguide.aspx?BusId=OCS&SellReg=USA&LangId=ENG
Have you contacted a local saw shop? With your chain as a pattern they can make a replacement in couple of minutes. Inquire by phone about a price you may be pleasantly surprised. Give them Oregon number 91VG040G (low kickback, most likely what your saw is fitted with). If you feel adept you might try a slightly more agressive chain but the odds of kick back increase. HTH

Oil leaks out as fast as it goes in
You provide no model number. That forces me to make my best guess. I opted to use model number “104316” as described below:
Remington.com
http://shoppingcart.msservicecompany.com/Default.aspx
- Type "YourModelNo" into the "Search for your unit by Model #:" window, then click search.
- Click the YourModelNo - Remington Electric Chain Saw "View Model" link.
- Click “View Owners Manual” or "View Illustrated Parts Diagram" link.
I opened the "YourModelNumber”parts list and found the oil tank pn ”079086-02.
I typed that into the “Search for your parts by Part #:” window and it said replaced with pn “108639-01. I input in the part number window and found; “Back Ordered Forever”. You might try an Internet search for "Remington 108639-01".
I searched for the oil cap and found 107512-01 $4.72.
Your Owners Manual is not very detailed, this excerpt is from a different model RemingtonPower saw.
FILLING OIL TANK
1. Remove oil cap.
2. Fill oil tank with SAE #30 motor oil. Note: For
temperatures below 30°F, use SAE #10 oil. For
temperatures above 75°F, use SAE #40 oil.
3. Replace oil cap at once. Tighten oil cap firmly for
good seal. This will avoid oil seepage from tank.
4. Wipe off excess oil.
Note: It is normal for oil to seep when saw is not in
use. Empty oil tank after each use to prevent seepage.
If you use a lighter weight oil it may contribute to this. If your oil cap has a leak to atmosphere that might also cause this. Try rubber banding a sandwich bag over the filler hole as a seal, better? Replace the cap. No better the tank is leaking.
The really bad news is RemingtonPower is no longer in production and eBay is the only source for some replacement parts, like this tank.
I am not affiliated with RemingtonPower and spent a fair amount of time providing this answer to you. I should not be punished because you are disappointed with results beyond my control. A good rating and perhaps a few kind words from you are my only payment for this service. Sorry

Need part number 111182-01
I went here:
Remington.com
http://www.desaparts.com/index.htm
- Typed "111182-01" into the "Part #:" window, then clicked search.
- Clicked the 111182-01 - USE REPLACEMENT PART # 111304-01" View Model" link.
I then returned to the first window
Typed "111304-01" into the "Part #:" window, and clicked search.
A picture of the part you want appeared with the “No Longer Available” annotation. (Desa and Mastercraft)
An Internet search for “Remington 111304-01” gets 1 positive hit here:
www.m-and-d.com/CEN-111304-01.html
I recommend you phone them and get the name of the person you talk to. I fear you about to be disappointed.

RemingtonPower is no longer in production. Most replacement parts are exhausted. I am afraid this part and soon all replacement will be found solely on eBay.
Please do not punish me because you are unhappy with Remington. I provided a very helpful answer; just not the one you wanted to hear.

Where can I find a bar & chain for a remington
You provide no model number for your saw. What is pictured is a RPS96.
Remington.com
http://www.desaparts.com/index.htm
- Type "YourModelNo" (RPS96) into the "Model #:" window, then click search.
- Click the YourModelNo - Remington Electric Chain Saw "View Model" link.
- Click “View Owners Manual” or "View Illustrated Parts Breakdown" link.
There are 8, 10, 12 and 14" chains on the IPB depending on the actual model pole saw. RemingtonPower is no longer in production, and parts are often difficuilt to find. All 4 chains listed are available and range form $12.92 to 15.95 plus shipping and handling. You can take your saw (or just the chain) to a local saw outlet and have one fabricated in about 5 minutes. It is rarely more expensive at a local outlete and you save shipping and handling fees. HTH
