Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook S7020 Notebook Questions & Answers
Please help. My Fujisu Lifebook
It seems you have a problem with your power adptor, which gets easily broken wires, due to usage. If you have a multi tester and possible if you can check the output voltage of your adptor, which should give 19 vdc according to the requirement of your laptop. Try to get power adptor of same kind and check, if it does work, repairs can be done to the power supply, if you can find a tech for this.

How to reset bios password
IF you have your bill of sale, a good local shop can reset the password but it will still cost you. At least you avoid the shipping and maybe it will be less than $100.
Programs that reset passwords are expensive to buy, IF you can find them. Otherwise, yes, you have to send it back to the manufacture who will do it for around $100 plus shipping.
I have a Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook s7020 with no
The Inverter board must be tested and eventually replaced. The inverter is the small board located at the base of display. This is connected to one side to the backlight lamp, to which supplies AC high voltage, and on the other side to motherboard, where receives DC voltage.
Inverter contacts to otherboard and to lamp must be tested , using a multimeter to read volts. The inverter is an AC board, and for safety reason the test must be done by a trained repairer.
If the inverter is OK check the contacts to motherboard and wiring harness to motherboard..
Also ensure that light is not just dimmer because energy save mode is on, or because the laptop is running on batteries.
No sound from built-in speakers
This is because of the Operating System XP as there are no drivers for the inbuilt speakers.Install Operating System Vista and im sure it will work after that.

Reset the BIOS password
Go to your friend. Download and burn this cd http://www.9down.com/Hiren-s-BootCD-9-8-Keyboard-Patch-73110/
Boot your pc from it by pressing F9 or F12 and use BIOS / CMOS Tools from it.
My power button is not working, is their any way to start the nootebook making a power shortcut?
If the laptop was opened up, (ALL power removed -> AC adapter and battery; PLUS -> anti-static precautions taken!), and the laptop has a power on switch, (under the power on button), that plugs into the motherboard; you can unplug the switch, and touch the motherboard contacts to try to turn the laptop on. (Sorry about the run-on sentence) Jump a wire or similar, across the contacts, and see if the laptop turns on. Could try to be more specific, and detailed, if you had listed more info about the Fujitsu Lifebook. Such as it's Series number and Model Number. Example: Fujitsu Lifebook E8210. In this example E is the Series number, and 8210 is the Model Number. Post back in a Comment.

Recovery disc comes from the manufacturer and looks for the serial number of your computer. You would have to buy a recovery disc from the said manufacturer or just go buy a new operating system CD

Hiya, how can I reset pwd for Lifebook s751 bios? I am going crazy lookin for clues, thankss
Resetting the bios password is very hit and miss. Usually the only way that might work is removing the cmos battery for a period of time (could be 1 minute to 24 hours) There are a lot of passwords on the internet but mostly they are a waste of time and can even damage your pc.You could always try contacting the manufacturer and asking them but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Will not hold a charge and the scren went black
If the laptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries will fail if stored in a discharged state for long periods.
