The error may be due to the key you used to signifie inverse. It says in the manual that you should use the key x^-1 not the one used to input general powers.
Here is screen capture from the Appendix to the manual. The picture shows the sequence of keys to press to obtain the inverse of a 2x2 matrix. It is taken from page 41 of Appendix


The matrix used in the exemple is
a_11=2 a_12=1 a_21=1 a_22=2

To avoid errors make sure that the angle unit is THE ONE required by your problem. To verify or to change the angle unit press [SIFT][MODE] and select [3: Deg] for degrees, [4:Rad] for radians, or [5:Grad] for grads.

Convert from rectangular to polar

[SHIFT][+] (Pol) . Screen displays Pol(
You enter the X-coordinate, and the Y coordinate separated by a comma, then you close the parenthesis and press [=].

Exemple: Polar coordinate of the point (1,1)
Pol( 1, 1) gives
r=1.414213562 (square root of 2)
θ=45

Here is how you enter it

The screen displays

Convert from polar to rectangular coordinates

Rec ( radius, angle) =

Exemple: Recatngular coordinates of (r=3, θ=60°)

The screen displays
Rec(3,60)
X= 1.5
Y= 2.598076211

With log a / log b = loga (b) formula

In casio for log2 8 = log8 / log 2 = 3

Next to the digit 9 key or ( there is a marking on the calculator that says CLR. To clear calculator (reset) press [SHIFT] (CLR) [=]. You will have to confirm the resetting.

The same way you would get the inverse of a number. Assuming you already have the matrix entered into memory, press SHIFT 4 to bring up the matrix menu, select the matrix whose inverse you want, then press the x^-1 key (just to the right and slightly below the big round cursor pad.

For common logs (logs in base 10) use the 10^x function : Press [SHIFT] [Log] to access it.
For natural logs, use the exponential function. Press [SHIFT][ln] to access it.

Your calculator is in binary mode. Press MODE 1 to switch to "normal" mode or MODE 2 to switch to complex mode.

To change a result from Fraction/radical to a decimal approximation, press the key marked S<>D. To completely prevent the display of fractions, change Input/output configuration.
Press SHIFT MODE to enter SetUp. Select LineIO

Press [SHIFT][MODE] (Setup). and select some other display mode such as NORM.
