how to calculate inverse of a 3x3 matrix in casio fx-991MS calculator?

Hello,

Here is the solution for th FX-991ES.

Hello,

The error may be due to the key you used to signifie
inverse. It says in the manual that you should use the key x^-1 not the
one used to input general powers.

Here is screen capture from the
Appendix to the manual. The picture shows the sequence of keys to press
to obtain the inverse of a 2x2 matrix. It is taken from page 41 of
Appendix

The matrix used in the exemple is

a_11=2 a_12=1 a_21=1 a_22=2

Here is the link to download the manual and the appendix

http://support.casio.com/manualfile.php?rgn=1&cid=004001004

The link is for FX991ES. Look there foe you manual.

Hope it helps

How do you use the pol and rec

To avoid errors make sure that the angle unit is THE ONE
required by your problem. To verify or to change the angle unit press
[SIFT][MODE] and select [3: Deg] for degrees, [4:Rad] for radians, or
[5:Grad] for grads.**Convert from rectangular to polar **

[SHIFT][+] (Pol) . Screen displays **Pol(**

You enter the X-coordinate, and the Y coordinate separated by a comma, then you close the parenthesis and press [=].

Exemple: Polar coordinate of the point (1,1)

Pol( 1, 1) gives

r=1.414213562 (square root of 2)

θ=45

Here is how you enter it

Press [SHIFT][MODE][2:LineIO]

[SHIFT][POL] 1 [SHIF] [,] 1 [)] [=]

The screen displays**Pol(1,1)****r= 1.414213562θ= 45 **

Rec ( radius, angle) =

Exemple: Recatngular coordinates of (r=3, θ=60°)

The screen displays

X= 1.5

Y= 2.598076211

how to write log base 2 in casio fx-82MS

With log a / log b = loga (b) formula

In casio for log2 8 = log8 / log 2 = 3

how to get the inverse of a matrix an fx-991 ES calculator

The same way you would get the inverse of a number. Assuming you already have the matrix entered into memory, press SHIFT 4 to bring up the matrix menu, select the matrix whose inverse you want, then press the x^-1 key (just to the right and slightly below the big round cursor pad.

How do you reset the casio fx-115es

Next to the digit 9 key or ( there is a marking on the calculator that says CLR. To clear calculator (reset) press [SHIFT] (CLR) [=]. You will have to confirm the resetting.

How to convert polar to rectangular form

Hello,

Press [MODE] and select [1:COMP]

Press [SHIFT][MODE] and select [3:Deg]. You can also use rad if the angle you are given is in radians.

To start the conversion

Press [SHIFT][-] (Rec) screen displays **Rec(**

Key in the radius r , ex: 3 screen displays **Rec(3**Press [SHIFT][)] (,) to enter comma separator

Screen displays

Y=2.524532346

If angle is in radians, [SHIFT] [MODE][4:Rad] the command

Rec(3, Pi) gives X=-3, Y=0

Hope it helps

how to calculate 0.3log(base 2)0.3 using fx-991ms calc

Your calculator knows only the decimal logarithms log or log_10 and the natural logarithms (ln or log in base e).

So you cannot compute directly the logarithms in any bases other than 10 and e.

A workaround consists in using the relation

log in base b of a number a (log_b (a))

log_b(a)= (log_10(a) ) / (log_10 (b))

or the relation

log_b(a)= ln(a)/ln(b)

log_2(0.3)=log(0.3)/log(2) where log is log in base 10

Similarly

log_2(0.3)=ln(0.3)/ln(2)

As to the multiplicative factor you had at the beginning of your expression, just multiply the value obtained by one on the formulas above (both formulas will give the same result) by 0.3

how to interpolate with 991MS

i am giving the key input with an example..

example-

at 0, value is 300

at 50, value is 270

so how much at 30...

On 991MS,

Go in Reg mode, for doing that : press Menu,Menu, 2

Enter the values as follows,

0,300 and press M+ key on the calci

(Note: there is a "," in between 0 and 300)

then enter the following,

50,270 and press M+ key

now enter the following input exactly as displayed below:

(30) shift 2 > > > 2 =

you will get the answer as 282.

I hope you got it!!!
