Maytag Atlantis MAV6000 Top Load Washer - Page 11 Questions & Answers
How do you replace the
Being a top loader it is to be confirmed if the leak is from the seal which is in the top section Normally the drain leaks in many ways and is the most problematic fault in a washing machine. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that water has leaked then as the drain hose pump/valve and fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for possible leaks here. In some cases the drain hose would be clogged at the drain end to outlet of the house and so there will be back flushing resulting in overflow to the outside. Also the drain pump/valve can be clogged or the drain hose clamps can be loose on the grip which can all cause the leak to occurs. Removing and Cleaning the drain pump/valve, tightening of the hose is also very important. Also water can leak if there is gaps on the front door gaskets and must be checked but this will happen only during the cycle and not on the drain cycle end.

Maytag Atlantis mav7650aww has wringing
Hi
This issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe or clogged/bad drain pump. First make sure that the drain is not clogged and
remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is present then you'll need to clean the drain pump completely, if the issue is still there after doing all this then the drain pump should be replaced. Hope this
helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

Hell Scott,
i do believe the part number for your washer model number is 22003371and when searching the part number 2605660 none of my 4 parts lookup websites can not find that part number but yet all of them tell it the timer part number for model# MAV6200AWW is part #22003371
How much will it cost
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
FixYa is sorry but this Forum does not normally supply parts, part numbers, prices or other details direct; it's just made up of ordinary guys and gals, probably at home, from all over the world, with experience of addressing problems and giving guidance for free on the web. Also members on Fixya are not 'affiliated' to, or representative of, any manufacturer at all, just using their experience gained on many makes and models, probably over many years ;-0)
Spares Suppliers
You will need to type into your search engine/web browser '(make model number) washer spares' and you should be presented with a number of sources from which you can order. Alternately you could try telephone directories for spares suppliers but I would think the former would be more successful.
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.

My maytag atlantis wont drain
First thing to check is the lid switch and make sure it is working and not out of adjustment, if the switch is working then there must be a blockage in the pump or the drain line, if none then your pressure switch could also be bad. Look at the lid switch and use a pen or small screwdriver to depress the switch till it clicks and see if it starts spinning. You can also jumper the switch if your not sure it is working to make sure there is a complete circuit. Once the switch has been eleminated then look at the drain and pump. Let me know were your at on this and I can lead you furthur if needed.
The switch doesn't turn the
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Check that the washer supply is OK using another item - a kettle for instance. If it's not check your breakers/fuses. Reset/replace if necessary and if the same thing happens, or if there was nothing wrong with the breakers/fuses in the first place, sorry but with such a fault it is virtually impossible for anybody on this forum to remotely guess what could be wrong with your washer. It could be internal wiring/plugs sockets, control panel switches, control PCB.
I fear that your only real option is a service call as the engineer will have the right equipment to safely diagnose what is wrong.

I purchased the new thrust
Yes i too have problem with that and i am a appliance tech and have replaced 100's of thrust bearing kits. What you need to do is use a screwdriver and place it opposite of where your going to install the E clip and pull the transmission shaft down for a bit more room,it takes me as much as a hour doing this sometimes but endure and eventually it will go on!
Good luck,
Gene

Tub will not stop trunning
Hello,
I do not believe it is the belt. Their is a brake on the washer not that much unlike the brakes on your car,and 1 of 2 possible things are causing it not stop;
1) the brake lining is wore out and not holding and it needs to be replaced
2)the main tub pulley is hanging up and not engaging the brake as soon as a power is no longer send to the motor,as soon as motor stops rotating the brake is suppose to engage immedietly
to check which it is,is not to complicated, pull the washer out some from the wall and tilt it back so the control panel is resting on the wall and the bottom frame has been raised somewhat upward. remove the belt by grabbing it and while pulling down rotate it off of the main pulley and then turn the main center pulley in a clockwise direction a full 360 degree rotation, then while very carefully watching, turn it in a counterclockwise direction and see if it rises about a 1/2 inch then release it and it should move byitself back down. if it rises and drops back down it the pulley is good and the brake lining must be replaced, if no rise the pulley is what needs to be replaced.
oh i forgot to say remove the white plastic cover to see the rise/return of the pulley
After water drains from drumand
No the pump should and must have some water in it at all times if ALL water out the seal in it will burn up (water makes a excellent lubricant frreze it and it becomes very slippery)
