I have a Kleenmaid / Speed Queen KAW393. Normal cycle won't work. Other two cycles work.

The Manual is dated June 1996, so I am guessing your machine is past the 5 year warranty period? https://kleenmaid.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/KAW393_38430_june96.pdf I would say your husband's diagnosis is sound. Ask him to check the wiring tag connections to the timer first. They may be oxidized. It is a mechanical timer driven by an electric motor with internal contacts, so he could even try spraying some switch cleaner into the timer and rotating it a few times. The 'Normal' cycles are the ones you use the most, so the contacts get worn more. There is absolutely no way I would pay $600 for a timer on an old top loader like that even $AUS to $USD is $400. They are virtual dinosaurs in these days of high efficiency front loaders. Just as big, use less water, less detergent and a fraction of the cost to heat and run. I have a Whirlpool Duet front load washer and dryer matching pair. They are about 16 years old, love them.

The 19 kg washer has a start light flashing but does not do wash after the current went and returned

It seems like your washing machine is experiencing a common issue after a power outage. This could be due to a disruption in the machine's cycle. To resolve this, try the following steps:
  1. Reset the Machine:
    • Turn off the washing machine and unplug it from the power source.
    • Wait for a few minutes (around 5-10 minutes).
    • Plug the machine back in and turn it on.
  2. Check Door Lock:
    • Ensure that the door is securely closed and the lock is engaged.
  3. Restart the Cycle:
    • Select the desired wash cycle and press the start button.
If the issue persists, it might be helpful to consult your machine's manual for specific troubleshooting steps. Additionally, power fluctuations during the outage might have affected the machine's electronics. If the problem continues, consider contacting the manufacturer's customer support for further assistance. Remember, power interruptions can sometimes cause electronic appliances to behave unexpectedly, and a simple reset often resolves such issues.

I have a Horizon 2000 that needs a 220V water inlet valve, for an old washer in South America. I have the part number but they no longer make it. Any suggestions?

It seems like you're facing a challenge with finding a replacement 220V water inlet valve for your Horizon 2000 washer. Given that the original part is no longer manufactured, here are some suggestions to consider: 1. You can try looking for a universal water inlet valve that is compatible with 220V. Universal valves are designed to fit a variety of washing machines and may serve as a replacement for the original part. Be sure to check the specifications and compatibility of the universal valve with your washer. 2.Contact local appliance repair shops or parts suppliers. They may have access to a stock of older or hard-to-find appliance parts, or they might be able to source a compatible valve from a similar appliance. 3.Check online marketplaces, such as eBay, Amazon, or specialty appliance parts stores, for discontinued or rare parts. There might be sellers who stock old appliance parts, including the 220V water inlet valve you need. 4.Some retailers specialize in sourcing hard-to-find or discontinued appliance parts. You can try reaching out to them to see if they can locate the specific valve you need. 5.If you are unable to find a direct replacement, you might consider using a voltage converter or transformer to adapt a more common 110V water inlet valve to work with your 220V washer. However, this approach can be complex and may require electrical expertise to ensure safety and proper functionality. 6.If you're having trouble finding a suitable replacement, consider consulting a professional appliance repair technician. They may be able to offer alternative solutions or suggest a compatible part that can be adapted to your washer.

Atiston front loading washer flashes f-11 code

Check the Motor and Drum: Sometimes, issues with the motor or drum can trigger the F-11 error. Inspect the motor and drum for obstructions or mechanical problems. It's possible that something is impeding their movement.Verify Water Supply: Ensure that there is no issue with the water supply. If the washer doesn't fill properly during the spin cycle, it can lead to an error code. Check for water inlet valve problems or water pressure issues.Verify Electrical Connections: Double-check all electrical connections and wiring, not just those accessible from the bottom panel. Issues with the control board or other components may not always be visible from the outside.Sensor and Switch Inspection: Look for any faulty sensors, switches, or pressure switches that might affect the spin cycle. A malfunctioning sensor or switch can lead to the error code.Professional Service: If you've thoroughly checked the visible components and the problem persists, it's advisable to contact a professional appliance technician who can perform a comprehensive diagnostic and identify the root cause of the issue. They may need to use specialized diagnostic tools to pinpoint the problem accurately. The F-11 error code can sometimes be challenging to diagnose because it can result from various underlying issues. If you've exhausted your troubleshooting options and the problem persists, professional service is likely the most effective way to address the issue and get your washer back in working order.

How do i repair the electric cable on the vacuum sealer

Repairing the electric cable on a vacuum sealer can be a bit tricky and potentially dangerous if not done correctly, so if you're not confident in your ability to do this safely, it's best to consult a professional or consider replacing the vacuum sealer. However, if you have some experience with electrical repairs and feel comfortable tackling the job, here are some general steps to guide you: **Note:** Ensure your vacuum sealer is unplugged from the power source before attempting any repairs. 1. **Gather your tools and materials:** - Screwdrivers (typically Phillips and flat-head) - Wire strippers - Heat shrink tubing or electrical tape - Wire connectors - Replacement cable (if needed) - Multimeter (for testing) 2. **Identify the issue:** Carefully examine the electric cable to determine the exact problem. If there's visible damage to the cable, such as cuts or exposed wires, you'll likely need to replace the damaged section or the entire cable. 3. **Cut and strip the cable:** If you're replacing a section of the cable, cut it where the damage is, and then use wire strippers to remove a small portion of the insulation from the ends of the wires. Make sure to cut cleanly without damaging the wire strands inside. 4. **Prepare the replacement cable:** If you're using a replacement cable, strip the ends of the new cable to expose the wire ends. 5. **Connect the wires:** If you're replacing a section of the cable, connect the wires from the new cable to the wires from the old cable. Use wire connectors to secure the connections. If you're working with a whole new cable, you'll need to connect it to the vacuum sealer's internal wiring. Make sure to connect the wires with the same color-coding as the original cable. Usually, it's black to black and white to white, but check the manufacturer's instructions. 6. **Insulate the connections:** After connecting the wires, insulate them properly to prevent any electrical hazards. You can use heat shrink tubing or electrical tape to cover the exposed connections. If using heat shrink tubing, heat it with a heat gun to shrink it tightly around the wires. 7. **Test the vacuum sealer:** Before fully reassembling the vacuum sealer, plug it in and test it to ensure it's working correctly. Make sure there are no exposed wires or loose connections. If the vacuum sealer functions as it should, proceed to the next step. 8. **Reassemble the vacuum sealer:** Put the vacuum sealer back together, securing any panels or covers that you removed during the repair. 9. **Final safety check:** Double-check that everything is securely connected, insulated, and safe. Ensure there are no exposed wires or loose components. 10. **Plug in and use with caution:** Once you're confident in your repair job, you can plug in the vacuum sealer and use it. Always exercise caution when working with electrical appliances, and if you have any doubts about your repair skills, consider seeking professional assistance. Your safety is paramount. If you're not comfortable with these steps or if your vacuum sealer is still under warranty, consider contacting the manufacturer or an authorized service center for repairs or advice.

My defy electrologic washing machine fills and releases water at the sametime

If your Defy Electrologic washing machine is filling and releasing water at the same time, it is likely that the drain hose is clogged or the drain pump is defective. Check the drain hose for any clogs or debris and ensure it is clean. If the drain hose is clear, the problem could be a defective drain pump. In this case, the pump will need to be replaced.
