Samsung ML2165W - ML-2165W Wireless Laser Printer Questions & Answers
Paper keep coming out wavy.. How can I fix that
"Wavy" paper is usually caused by something in the feed path catching. It can be lint build-up, dust or any number or things, including one or more rollers becoming too "slick" to feed the paper properly. My best suggestion is a vacuum cleaner, canned air and a good flashlight. Follow the user manual to remove as many of the serviceable parts (toner cartridge, drum, etc) as possible, cleaning each piece off with a dusting attachment. You do not want to blow toner around your home / office if it can be helped. Examine each part as you remove it to make sure it's normal. Look inside the printer along the paper path as much as you can; blow anything out using the canned air into the vacuum nozzle if practical.
The good / bad thing about the ML2165W is that they're easily replaced with something better if you can't get it working properly. Great excuse to go color laser or duplex printer.
How to change font size
The font size is determined by the document and the software, not the printer. If your printer is making the text a size different than that in the document, check your print settings to make sure that you have set the paper scale to something less than 100%.
Ml-2165w keep disconnecting
This printer keeps disconnecting from the wireless network I assume. You may have new neighbors that have their WiFi router on the same channel as you and thus trampling your signal kicking your printer off. Login to your router and try changing the channel as there should be at least 11 different channels on most routers you can select to prevent this type of problem. Also think of any Bluetooth devices that might be in range of the printer as they operate at the same base frequency and many wireless routers (2.4ghz) and remove them from the area or turn them off.
How to connect wi-fi printer to laptop
With a wireless router that you probably have for you laptop. Printer should be connected directly to the router, and all PC's in you home can use it as a network printer, so everyone can print on it. Whether connection between printer and router is Wi-Fi or cable is of no importance. The procedure of installation may be a little boggling for someone doing it the first time. As I remember you should start installing driver CD on you laptop, and it will tell you when to connect printer to it, and when the basic part of installation is over. This way you can use printer connected directly to you laptop via USB. Next it will offer you to set wireless parameters. If your router is set to automatic (DHCP) it will ask you to register printer on your home network and you must enter your wireless network SSID and password somewhere in your printer. It should not be too hard. You just have to fallow the instructions. If your friend comes over with a laptop and joins your wireless network, he still can't use your printer, because he's hasn't got drivers installed, so you'll have to do that part all over again, for every PC.
