I hav a 95 berrta and im tying to put a head unit

Hello chrisuftring,

Here's a link to the wiring color code for the '95 Chevy Beretta.

You'll need to match the function of each wire from your head unit and the color code for that would be in your manual. Most aftermarket units are somewhat standard as far as power, accessory, ground, and speaker connections are concerned. But the wiring colors may be different for such leads as remote, power antenna, illumination, dimmer, and muting.

An Alpine head unit has the following wiring colors:
Blue - Power Antenna
Blue/White - Remote
Pink/Black - Audio Interrupt (muting)
Orange - Illumination
Red- Switched 12V+
Yellow - Constant 12V+
Black - Ground
Gray - RF Speaker (+)
Gray/Black - RF Speaker (-)
White - LF Speaker (+)
White/Black LF Speaker (-)
Violet - RR Speaker (+)
Violet/Black RR Speaker (-)
Green - LR Speaker (+)
Green/Black - LR Speaker (-)

With this head unit, you would wire Yellow to Orange, Red to Yellow, Black to Black, Orange to Gray, Blue to Pink, Gray to Light Green, Gray/Black to Dark Green, White to Tan, White/Black to Gray, Violet to Dark Blue, Violet/Black to Light Blue, Green to Brown, and Green/Black to Yellow.

Note that there are 2 "yellow" wires in your vehicle color code. You'll have to test them to determine which one is the accessory wire and which one goes to the left rear speaker. Using a 12V "test light" is the simplest. Connect one side of the light to ground. With the ignition ON probe the yellow wires. One of them should light the tester, the other one won't. Verify that the light goes out when the ignition is OFF and your have separated the redundant "yellows". The one that lit the tester is your 12V+ switched wire and the other one goes to the left rear speaker.

Hope this helps.

Emergency brake by pass for xdvd8183

Go buy a switch at auto zone with two prongs.

Connect a wire to a ground then to the switch. connect the brake (yellow and blue wire) wire to the other post on the switch.

Flip the switch in the sequence that the manual says or just flip it back and forth a few times pausing for a few seconds each time you flip the switch. Once it is disengaged it will stay that way.

If it reverts, repeat the switch flippin...

Do not have a sub output on receiver /do not know

Hello southernbike,

With a 5-channel amp (stereo L/R front, stereo L/R rear, and subwoofer) you only need the two pair of stereo inputs.

You do not say which brand and model of amp you have, but most have an output configuration similar to the Alpine shown in this link. Connect the front and rear RCA's from your receiver, your vehicle speakers to the respective output terminals, and your subwoofer to the 5th channel terminals.

Hope this helps.

I'm trying to put an aftermarket stereo into my

Hello dusashbrax,

The wiring color code for the 2002 Blazer is here. Just match up the function of each wire on the aftermarket receiver with the appropriate color wire from the vehicle.

A better solution is to purchase a vehicle specific wiring harness. Then you just match it up with the receiver harness color for color.

Hope this helps.

The dvd player stopped working....how much is it

The incar DVD player that you have I assume is connected to dual monitors in your head rests. Inphase do a good quality DVD very cheap, in the UK you can buy it for 150 GBP including 2 new head rest monitors. In the US there must be a reputable dealer than can offer a similar price for the same item or similar.

The image does not appere while im driving

If the head unit supports safe mode then this will be the cause, this is connected the to handbrake switch so that you cannot view video whilst driving and the handbrake is off. Some units do have the option to turn off safe mode but is not recommended.

I un hooked my battery to my car and when i hooked

Not too sure about dual cd players, but there is usually a reset button the size of a pin-hole behind the detachable face on most. Try holding it down for a few seconds to reset it. Hopefully that works! if it does then i would suggest buying a settings keeper when doing anything with the electrical system. Its a 9 volt battery that plugs into your cig. lighter. (I work at AutoZone, you can pick one up there)

The Apple iPhone 3G, iPod Nano 4th Gen, iPod Touch 2nd Gen, and any other newly released iPods can be controlled using the iPod adapter above; however, charging will not be possible unless you purchase the Scosche IFWA PassPORT charging adapter.

1997 honda accord how do i get through firewall with power cable?

If you cannot access a existing grommet, just drill a small hole through the firewall on the passenger side. Take a moment and look carefully so you will not pierce or damage other parts. Usually with most vehicles you can find a good spot to make a hole. You can purchase a grommet to fit the hole you are making, or just goo it with silicone so the power line will be knick free and secure. Pull back the needed carpet and mating. You may even find a wiring harness under there that connects through the firewall, if so, you may be able to squeeze through the side of it.
