Olympus Camedia D-435 Digital Camera Questions & Answers
How do I download the pictures
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Do you guys make a wall charger which has a cord
You need to contact Olympus or buy one from a site such as Ebay. Search on Ebay for your camera name and model. They vary, but should be reasonable.
If you are needing to charge the batteries so often, then either the charger is not good or the batteries, one or all are weak or defective.
Make sure that the menus are set for the kind of batteries you are using.
How do I get the pictures on computer?
Operating systems like windows will automatically detect your camera and amenu will pop up which will guidev you through the steps. You will either have to use the card slot in your pc(if any) or to use a data cord that normally comes with the camera(a new one) to connect to the pc
Can't change image size
To change the image size in your camera to shoot at a lower setting - have the camera in shooting mode - go to Menu - go to the symbol that looks like an arrow pointing to the left - Press Ok - then select which record mode you want and press ok.
Screen says write protect
Sounds like you will need to format the memory card. This will permanently erase all the data from the card and then you will be able to use it again. To format the card: Press the Ok button - right arrow to Mode Menu - down arrow to Card tab - right arrow to card setup - right arrow to format option. You will see format yes or no. Choose Yes and press ok. This will clear the write protect message and the card can be used again.
Same xd card problem
Hey! Yeah i managed to resolve the problem and keep all the pics too. I used one of those kodak touch screen machines in a camera shop where you put the memory card in and downloaded all the pics onto cd. When i had checked that they were all on the cd's, i formatted the memory card and it has been fine ever since.
Hope this helps!

Card-Cover open
According to Olympus Tech Support this is a Sensor issue and requires repair. They quoted $86 for repairs...to me that is just not worth it, I have the same issue but purchased a good used camera on ebay for only $40! Good luck, sory I couldn't help.
Camera wont switch on,
The best way to answer that question is to get a repair estimate from a repair shop.
Take it directly to an authorized Olympus repair shop and let them tell you what the repair cost would be. (It may be reasonable) Then yo can make an informed decision.

Internal memory or to the optional xD-Picture Card?
The internal memory and xD-Picture Card cannot be used at the same time. When the card is inserted the internal memory is disabled. When you want to use the internal memory you must remove the xD-Picture card. The LCD display indicates the images are being saved to the internal memory by displaying [IN] in the lower right corner of the screen. When using the xD-Picture Card the LCD will display [xD] in the lower right corner. These indicators are displayed just above the number of available frames.
