If your Model is Tosh 43H71,then pull chassis and locate F850,
F851 soldered-in fuses...check with meter..if open,replace with
proper value micro fuse(s) and solder jumper wires 008,010,017,
048,600 located on signal board.Replace convergence IC's
STK392-110 with IC's from kit # X 480295 ( upgrade )...........T.

Pull chassis = check F850,851 micro fuses =no good ?
Replace STK IC's called convergence amps = Some special
soldering is needed = let me know.......................T.

Look up and read about the convergence amplifiers on this website. I just helped a friend repair his 53H71. We replaced the STK392-110 IC's on the signal board. The shop quoted him $400 for the repair. We replaced them for $35. If you're not comfortable soldering then this might not be a good repair for you to try. Good luck.

Not a correct sub.......Tosh STK392-110 subs to STK392-110T.

If you want a true upgrade / sub = -110 to STK394-160E.....I use
Hitachi brand = best OEM choice.........

Do not use generics = they are seconds,poor quality,won't last
as long as first quality........................T.

Use Toshiba STK392-110T X 2 for exact replacement..........T.

Change both IC's at same time is SOP ( standard operating
procedure) Note: Poor soldering from factory can lead to IC
failure, so, at the very least, hand solder all pins.....
Verify which is red chip by Service literature or follow red plug-in
traces to red IC.................................T.

They rarely show visible damage,however,the B+ feed resistors
near the IC's can show over-heat or burnt and can change value.
Convergence IC's are changed because of the symtom.......T.

mute the tv then press mute again hold it down and press menu on the tv itself not the remote. Be carefull there is a lot of important stuff in there!

If you're talking about the STK392-100 convergence amps, the repair manual is not a great deal of help.

If you have the ability to work on solid state electronics and know how these circuits work, you will need to replace the convergence IC's in this TV set. If you do not, call in a pro to assist you in this repair. Good Luck

This is the typical convergence problem you will read about over and over on this website. You need to replace 2 amplifier IC's part number STK392-110 and check all of the resistors in that circuit.

This is a projection TV, what do you mean purity knobs. What is the problem with your TV set? Sounds like you got some wrong info here? I will be on live tonight if you want to discuss your TV problem.

if ur in service mode already..turn down all drive.green first turn it up until the desired intensity is achieve.then blue all the way until it almost blend the green.u must not see one color either too much green or blue.turn up red now,let it blend until u see a perfect black and white.note:make sure that the color level is set to minimum and tint to center. ihope i help u..

try adjusting the color purity knob.one by one,or if it is really bad tube u can extend it by rejuvinating it.

The blinking red light is telling you that the set did not start up due to an overvoltage somewhere in the set. Most likely the main power supply has a fault like a bad regulator IC or a component associated with it, or there is a fault in the sweep power supply somewhere. if you have no electronic repair experience, play it safe and call out a tech to assist you with this repair.
