Re: how to adjust red blue green
One or both of the convergence IC's has probably failed and will need to be replaced. Check the circuitry around them as well for bad fusable resistors etc. The drive settings won't help on a convergence issue.
If ur in service mode already..turn down all drive.green first turn it up until the desired intensity is achieve.then blue all the way until it almost blend the green.u must not see one color either too much green or blue.turn up red now,let it blend until u see a perfect black and white.note:make sure that the color level is set to minimum and tint to center.
ihope i help u..

the 43h71 has a pair of convergence ics that commonly go bad and cause this problem. replace original stk392-110 with stk392-120. the upgrades have a collector rated at 4 amps vs the 110's 3 amps and should be more reliable.
also know that they hyperboard in this set can cause squiggly lines throughout but will not affect the convergence.
green is not adjustable only through the service menu. if the green yoke hasnt been turned then you most likely have a faulty capacitor or resistor in the green convergence circuits causeing the green projectors image to be skewed. without the service manual and some tv repair troubleshooting skills you will probaly need to call a tv tech
Change both IC's at same time is SOP ( standard operating
procedure) Note: Poor soldering from factory can lead to IC
failure, so, at the very least, hand solder all pins.....
Verify which is red chip by Service literature or follow red plug-in
traces to red IC.................................T.
Look up and read about the convergence amplifiers on this website. I just helped a friend repair his 53H71. We replaced the STK392-110 IC's on the signal board. The shop quoted him $400 for the repair. We replaced them for $35. If you're not comfortable soldering then this might not be a good repair for you to try. Good luck.
