Aiwa CDC-X504MP CD Player - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

My daughter had same issue with her Aiwa car radio. removing and replacing the radio power fuse made it happy and it has been so for nearly a year.

To set the clock: Press and hold the "Disp" button until the clock shows in the display window. Turn the Volume knob to turn the hour up or down Press the "Disp" button again Turn the Volume knob to turn the minutes up or down Press "Disp" again.

To get to the sound settings: Press and hold the Volume knob down. Press the "Seek" button until you see "Fad" on the display It will be between "Bal" and "LPF" Turn the volume knob to adjust

this is due to insert area with other problems

The amplifier is the system that controls the audio.

you can try disconnecting power to the stereo for a few minutes. sometimes the reset switch doesn't always completely clear the memory of the uprocessor.

I have the same problem in my civic, is it a brand new deck, or did it just stop working?

on the amp try gettin a different wire connecting the power stright to the remote useing a different wire touch both of them . and see if the power comes on i had the same problem and i tryed that and it worked .

If this cd player has a removal fascia then try..

Carefully inspect the the electrical contacts on the fasica and the cd player. If it has got dirt on them then CAREFULLY CAREFULLY clean with cotton swab dabbed in cleaning Alcohol.

I had a related problem with a new car. It turned out to be the battery shorting out internally. For some reason it always happened at night. Mine did it in cold weather at the time. But you might want to look into this.

I had the same issue and was about to give up.
cleaning, key combos and such didn't work out.

Solved the dirty way, as described some comments above:

"Just took the faceplate from the "push-menu" button and hit it against a hard surface [not too hard but not too soft hits] and thats it, it worked again."

You're going to try to fix something but can hardly spell any part of your question correctly... Makes me question giving you a schematic.

Hi if the power is on then it is not the car fuse, but the radio itself. I will direct you to the aiwa radio thread.

Fuse #9 feeds the power outlet and fuse #18 feeds the lighter outlet (this is the one I believe your having trouble with).

They are both located in the fuse box in the trunk, next to the battery. If you open the trunk and lift the floor up you'll see them hiding under there. The numbers should be called out on the cover for the fuse box.

is your cd player aftermarket or oem if oem look in owners manuel u will have to do a soft reset on the radio if not disconect positive battery terminal and hit the power button a few times wait 2 min and replace cable.

I'm guessing that you mean the car battery, this is normal on most cars
