To convert a complex number (not an equation) from rectangular coordinates to polar coordinates you do as follows 2+3[OPTN][ F3 (CLPX)][F1(i)][F6 >][F3> r ,theta][EXE]

9. If the screen does not show a lot of the function, you can use the arrow keys to pan (move the center of the graph. You can pan Up, Down, Left, or Right.
   
10. You can also press [SHIFT][V-Window] to set the window limits.

The newton method is used by this calculator to find the roots of equations. If you want to implement YOUR version of the Newton/Raphson algorithm, you may have to write the program yourself.
