When television is turned on,

It sounds like the video processor is getting noisy. Maybe small capacitors not decoupling noise from other stages but whether you would find anyone willing to have a go at repairing it is another matter. Maybe worth trying another power supply perhaps, but I wouldn't hold your breath.
Sorry but not an easy fix if it isn't a lead or connection problem and I don't think it would be if it is a digital set.

My tv try to turn

It is a power supply problem, you can get anew power supply or you can replace the electrolytic caps on the one in the set, that will fix your problem.

I have 42'' PDP monitor.

Ilene,
sounds like a) your audio amplifier IC chip is fried, or b) cold solder joint to the speaker(s).
Any chance your pet stepped on the "Mute" button on the remote control?
Or perhaps there's a book on top of the remote which is continuously transmitting the "Mute" Infra-red code?
Any chance that someone has selected "external speakers" in an on-screen menu, thus disabling the internal speakers, and sending the sound signal to RCA jacks on the back of the set to which
nothing is attached? perhaps this setting may be called "Surround Sound?"

I turn the power button

I had a similar problem with my 42 in Philips LCD HDTV.

Here was the problem. My Power Supply Board had several bad capacitors. I opened my TV (warranty was expired of course) and found four bulged capacitors. Many electronics companies were sold capacitors that failed in 2-5 years instead of 10-20. The capacitors fail prematurely due to a lack of preservatives. Unfortunately, they were installed in all sorts of devices and cause a wide range of failure problems.

Here are some options for you.

1. Have it fixed by a professional $$$$$$$???????

2. Open your TV and find PSB. Check for faulty caps. If you find some (bulged or leaking) bad caps replace the entire board. The entire board costs around $100

3. Remove and then replace individual faulty caps. This takes some soldering skill.

Caps are inexpensive and if you can take care of it yourself it will save you hundreds.

I have a tip/tutorial on this site that may also help. It gives step by step instructions for replacing caps on PSB #715t2432-2. If this is your board you are in luck. It's called: Fixing the Philips Turns/shuts off on its own problem. I'm working on uploading pictures to help guide people though the process as well, so if you would like to view them check it again soon. Let me know if I can do anything to help.

Hope this helps and Good luck.

How do I hook up

use 1 of these 4 options
On the back of the cable box there should be outputs
Coaxial ( regular cable wire that screws on)
RCA plugs (yellow red & white )
Component plugs ( green, red, blue for video) (red, white for audio)
HDMI ( on HD cable box only)

After connecting make sure your tv is on the input you connected on the back of the TV

The screen is always blue,

Hello, the blue screen could be a sign of a defective tuner. If you are using a video input for your DVD or VCR player, do you get the blue screen then? If you do there might be a problem in the color processing circuit.

Unplugged and removed unit from

Take the tv off the stand, lay it somewhere securely, take the back cover off , plug it in the mains, get a voltmeter and check to see if the mains power reaches the power board. If it does then try to start it and test the power source to see what's not working: the mains rectifier, the filtering capacitors, the power transistors or the transformer. If all get power but the outputs are dead then the regulator is defective - you will have to test it to find out why: start by checking to see if it gets powered and if the oscillator is working
If you don't know how to do all that then it's time to call a repairman.

Maxent 42 inch plasma tv,

Hello,

is your TV connected to a satellite box/receiver? If yes, check the video wire that connect from the box to the TV.

Or You can connect the TV to a DVD player and observe if there will be any video display. You can as well use another video wire for the connection in order to be sure its not a wire fault.

Also, Check you local stations such as channel 1, 2, 3, 4.... from your TV remote if there is no display, then it means your TV is having picture board fault.

The picture board of your TV might be defective, that's why there is no picture. You might have to replace the picture board of your TV in order for it to display again.

Good luck.

Made a popping noise and

Such a common request and occurrence You have just experienced the death of the A and B Sustain boards which control video and sound. The popping sounds eminate from the bursting of cheap and nasty capacitors more than likely on the second rate sustain boards that were made in China or even Korea and installed to keep the profits high. LG? or Mitsubishi? The average cost of repair for this is in the 300-400 dollar bracket Unless its in warranty ( then move quickly)

P58h10nja cant set up chanels

Hi.

First ensure that cable or antenna are connected properly to the input of the TV panel.

The issue can be firmware or a defective imaging board (this includes tuner).

Call Maxent at the number listed on the owners manual to know if any firmware update is available. There is no firmware for this model available on web, and installing wrong firmware will damage the TV.
If there is no update, or if the update does not fix the problem, then the imagin board must be replaced.

A good alternative to the repair is purchasing and connecting an external set top box available for a small fee.

No picture, sound ok

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Assuming this as an LCD TV from what you have described it seems that you might have a backlight and/or an inverter board issue with this TV set. It could also be due to the inverter circuits for the backlights. The inverter is the power supply source for the backlights. There could also be a screen driver problem; if it is then you have to change the entire inverter board. All this is only recommended if you have some kind of expertise for checking the internal circuitry of the TV as these units have high voltages running even when the set is switched off. The cost to change the inverter board including labor would be around $250, if you get this done by a professional. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Having a hard time hooking up dvd

If you are using HDMI connectors then you need to go into the menu of the tv and select one for your device. Make sure it is recognizing it. Some TVs default to one HDMI port when there are several. Check them to make sure it is 'recognizing' the port you are using.

The green snow is usually a problem with the YSUS board. In the tv itself. You can attempt to have this tv repaired by a technician. Most likely it will end up costing you as much as a new tv, except you will have an old tv, with no warranty. A new tv will have all new parts. Newer and better technology and a new warranty.
Thanks,

I already paid $19.99 but

Yes it is the video card. It would have to be further tested. It is may be "Y" board or main board. Further testing will have to be done. It would be faulty capacitor but testing would have to be done to determine exact cause.
