If power reaching unit and after all you have checked, it appears the PS is fubar. Easiest thing to do is check for swollen/leaking/blown capacitors and replace them - cross your fingers and turn on.

Do you have a digital converter box? Its a smaller block square box that connects to the wall and the tv connects to the digital converter? I you do not have a digital converter that is most likely your problem. Not a gurantee but since they did the big digital signal switch, you now need these converters. Hope this helped

The tv probably does'nt have a fast enough refresh rate to work with games properly. It should be in the manual for the tv, the lower the number the better. I think it's 12 milliseconds on that tv. Have a look here:Response Rates.

26 inch maxent mx-26x3 and 32 inch, l2614xw02 some same parts When i hear the word static, i think snow,If while your watching tv and it looks like color snow pixels popping in and out all over the picture i did this to fix it.look at main board you see a green heat sink,left of that heat sink you see a 220 uf 16 volt capacitor that half surround by 22 uf capacitors,change the 220 uf capacitor and snow is gone.to get it off i just wiggle slowly back in forth until the old capacitor falls off,then put some fresh solder on and new capacitor on and done.use a radial electrolytic capacitor not the little metal one they had ontc bagabillion

Maxent ,mx 26 x3 turns on for 5sc.( all white) then picture flickers and screen goes black.. green light on throughout..none of button on the remote or the tv will work expect the power .i wonder is their a way to reset the tv?

yes you can and fromwhat i see you have the right connection on the monitor so you dont need any special adapters - you just need a 15pin VGA cable with audio (mini phono for audio) male for all connections on both sides of wire

Problems on your video board and also maybe power supply problems, the caps in most of these sets are the blame. So look for bad caps, you tube has video on how to fix some sets

I had a similar problem with my 42 in Philips LCD HDTV.

Here was the problem. My Power Supply Board had several bad capacitors. I opened my TV (warranty was expired of course) and found four bulged capacitors. Many electronics companies were sold capacitors that failed in 2-5 years instead of 10-20. The capacitors fail prematurely due to a lack of preservatives. Unfortunately, they were installed in all sorts of devices and cause a wide range of failure problems.

Here are some options for you.

1. Have it fixed by a professional $$$$$$$???????

2. Open your TV and find PSB. Check for faulty caps. If you find some (bulged or leaking) bad caps replace the entire board. The entire board costs around $250 right now because they are in high demand right now. They can be found at tv-part.com but supplies are limited.

3. Remove and then replace individual faulty caps. This takes some soldering skill.

Caps are inexpensive and if you can take care of it yourself it will save you hundreds.

I have a tip/tutorial on this site that may also help. It gives step by step instructions for replacing caps on PSB #715t2432-2. If this is your board you are in luck. It's called: Fixing the Philips Turns/shuts off on its own problem. I'm working on uploading pictures to help guide people though the process as well. Let me know if I can do anything to help.

You may have lost the 24vdc or the backlight inverter board may have shorted out, you need to do in-depth troubleshooting.

firstly any sign of melting on power wires should indicate DANGER and FIRE Do not attempt to use this appliance or handle the cord while it is plugged to the power. Take it or call in an electrical technician or replace the whole cord for safety. He can also check for any short circuits that may have caused the fault in the first place.

Check the back cable. It may be loose or broken connector.

your Lcd panel has failed you will need a new panel but that company no longer in around how ever if you get the genaric number off the panel which is on a white sticker on the back of the panel best bet is take a picture of the sticker then do a google search

this is a lamp problem if you have no picture but you have sound this will be a lamp issue need to replace it

you need to have a licenced repair tech come look at it sounds like the inverter is going out its kinda likea ballast for florecent lights

There are two places to look for the problems, the backlight inverter board and the power supply. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.
