Help: Diamond DSM967- 1G
Ifyou don't have any music on it yet that may be the problem - if you do try to hard boot or turn off completely for 5min or so to see if you can unscramble the device - if not take it and exchange it cause it sounds like it may be defective somehow. If you have any more questions let me know at Lancer721 here on fix ya. You can ask further questions by filling out the comment or further question box. Hope this helps! Diamond of the Rockies

? how do you put songs on a mp3 player and keep them there ?
Download
www.limewire.com amd search "click" your song you want then on the right pick the one you want it has to be mp3 format. Then "click" download" below after it downloads go below to "explore"and it will open "saved" highlight your device when you click on "copy this file" on the left. Your device will come up go ahead and copy or save file to device and there you go! You have the start of a lot of fun on your mp3.

Did the manuel say that it could play videos?
I don't think your MP3 player plays videos, but I am not 100% sure. If you have the manuel I suggest reading it.

Diamond MP3 1G digital audio player
It is either toast or the music is not compatible with the mp3 player...
make sure your music file isn't broken and it is either a .mp3 or .wma file.

Transfering videos
figured it out!! When you are in the smv converter go into settings. Change the save destination to, say your my videos folder in my documents. then convert. when it is finished, close the converter and go to your my videos folder. the video should be in there as an smv video. Now you can just move it to the device you want to play it on!!

Gone crazy
Reboot the MP3 or go get a Zune if the MP3 won't work anymore.

No Authority
I have a Nextar MA 933A model and have the same problem. The root cause of the issue is the player doesn't support DRM 9 or 10. DRM stands for Digital Rights Management. If the player doesn't support DRM 9 or 10, buying tracks from Napster won't work. The only tracks that will work are those that you convert from a CD. I am disappointed by this. I wouldn't have purchased the mp3 player if I couldn't download from Napster.
When you purchase an MP3 player, look at the product detail and make sure it supports DRM 9 or 10.

If you are using Windows 98, install the drivers. If you are using Windows XP, simply open windows media player. open the Sync tab at the top. and drag and drop on the right to your device. Hope this helps.
