6 beeps linespace lights 1@2 flash
Hello, flashing 1 and 2 indicates that the machine has a keyboard problem. I have found that the keyboards are starting to fall apart due to the age factor and the only solution is to have the keyboard assembly replaced. EBM is where I usually get keyboards. good luck.

How do you reset the margins
Hi:to reset the left margin press the Mar Rel key on the left side of the keyboard once. Either space or backspace to the point where you want to reset the margin and press the Left Mar key once. To set the right margin just space to the point where you want to reset it and press the Right Mar key once.Andrew

How do I get the automatic return off?
Try adjusting your right hand margin to be set as far across as possible and take the typewriter off proportional spacing and set it at 10,12 or a set spacing, this should stop it from doing this if not let me know

The correction tape will not erase properly
If the tape is moving and showing marks of correction attempts you probably have old supplies or a non correctable ribbon. Install a fresh ribbon & L/O cassette NOT AN OLD ONE FROM THE BACK ROOM.

I have replaced the ribbon
When the T/W is turned on does the ribbon go up and down or does it just stay in one place? Try it without the correction tape attached if it works then the correction tape is installed wrong. If it doesn't check the plug on the ribbon motor and give it a shot of WD40 on the upper and lower bearings (it is located under the ribbon deck at thr R. front.

When I turn on Typewriter
Look for debris on and under the printed circuit board, if that isn't the problem you probably need a power supply or a board.

My lexmark typewriter space bar
The phrase light is also the single space. If only the space bar doesn't workyou may have a bad keyboard or something under the space bar that is in the way.

Hello. I have an IBM
Hi:
The reason it does this is the print solenoid is gummed up. The print solenoid is located within the carrier. It would need to be removed and cleaned with alcohol to free it up.

The left margin is stuck
Put a shot of WD40 on both sides of the silver shaft that the carroer
slides on. If that doesn't do it put some on the carier motor bearings.
The front one can be reached from inside of the T/W the rear one yuo
will have to remove the case of fish the straw thru it. The motor is
located on the R. rear corner.
