if the fuse seems to be ok then on the power supply board check for any blown capacitor or any bulged capacitor or ics.that could also create the problem if blows off.you have to replace the capacitors and ics.to make the tv work again.check out for the fauly on the tracks of the main board.
you can also call a tech as it is worth reparing.
thanks.

it easy to locate the fusible resistor in the power module PCB,it look like a resistor but white in color, normally printed soc xxxx (2100) on top of the component. After you replaced the STK392-110 , you need to re-alight the convergence setting again.hope it will help.

aj6404: what you described is what I understand to be referred to as an overload protection fault circuit kicking in. Sounds like you might have a fuse blown. Check the fuses on the PCB's. Unplug the power cable from the wall and allow it to sit for about 30 minutes before removing the back cover - till will allow the circuits to discharge before you go poking around - don't want to get shocked or popped by an arch.

Replaced fuses & they keep blowing
there could be a shortage in any of the dc line that cause the fuse to blow up again, either overloading or chortage will cause this, try to see for any sign of other componenet failure, wires that has been bended and cripped, transistor that has been twisted or alike
cheers

Lost the controller for Pioneer rear projection TV
Try pressing the "Input" button the front of the set. That should allow you to change between the different inputs. The return button usually returns you to the previous channel you were watching - don't think it works for the input though. Also, depending on the model of the set you have, try downloading the PDF user or owners manual - it will tell you how to use the remote.

Sounds like you lost the converigence. Have you tried to realign the convergence through the user menu? Try that first and see what happens.

I'm having a very similar problem, basically its a fuse that is blowing out, I think the transformer is sending too much power it's way.

Problem
Optics need cleaning, and a calibrator adept at what he does can redo the screen controls to bring back the bright levels you need. It can also be done in the user Black Level settings, tho that's not as good as service level.
Optics cleaning is a must tho on these units at this age. Regular and deeper as well.
