one of the monitores for my venturer pvs 192 in car dvd player has blown, could any body help with a replacement.

try Radio Shack - look for a universal adapter - most of these adapters have multiple voltages including 12 volts

If you have the original power cord, should be 9 to 12 volts at 1.5 amp rating. You can go direct online to Venturer/Audiovox.com and look under updates/fixes for your model # and get a download update that you can copy onto a CD/ROM or DVD that will reset the programing as well as update your DVD player. This will also work for skipping issues if bumped etc. I have the same model and did the same thing to mine by mistake.

If the fan is failing - consider getting it replaced before the overheating causes damage..

I manage to get the manual from Venturer. Google it. I am in UK and I have to phone them and than get them to send the manual by pdf to my email address. No charge. Easy.
The older ones are not on their listing.
If you have any problem come back to me and I will look it up for you.

try to clean the lens using cd cleaner or cotton buds with drop of water on it. that really works.

it is dirty needs a good cleaning or the laser needs to be replaced

I have the same problem. Very frustrading and my solution was to toss it in the trash. Unfortunately these units don't last past 2-3 years.

put tape over your kids mouth, or make your kid get a job to buy a new one.

Im a little confuse abouth those button thath you push but if the unit work fine with the cigaret adapter most work well with a good power supply make check yur ac power supply for enouthg voltage becuse it sound to me as a defective one...good luck

I found this info on the site and it works!!!!

1. Switch on the DVD player.
2. Open the disc tray, and leave it open.
3. On your remote key in the following number: 81328
4. Then press the ENTER key a number of times till region 9 comes up.
5. Press the MENU button on your remote.
6. Finally close the tray.
