maybe the driver of your digital camera is not installed on your acer aspire. try to install the driver of your digital camera.

are you trying to install a new OS? How did the problem start

The problem is due to file error when you abruptly shut down the Notebook.

Start the PC by pressing F8 upon boot up.
Select "Last known good configuration that works"
Check if it has solve the problem.

If the problem still persists, try system restore under system tools.

assuming you are running windows vista, all you need to do is go to Start>Control Panel> If you are on "Classic View", then click on"personalization".....If on "control pane home", there is a selection called "appearance and personalization". On the desktop, if I right click the open area away from my desktop, Personalization is the last entry on the bottom of the list! Hope this helps!

Have you tried to do that in safe mode??

That question makes no sense, try again.

right click the desktop and select personalize or go start > control panel > personalization

What version of Windows 7 do you have? As far as I know, the personalization features are only in Home Premium or above. If your netbook came with the Starter version, you would need to do the Windows Anytime Upgrade (and buy the license upgrade).

This monitor may not have built-in speakers. It may have supported Gateway's monitor mounted sound bar. That sound bar connected to the 3.5 mm audio out on a computer and a DIN port on the monitor. The simplest solution is to connect your source to appropriate speakers. Depending on your audio setup, you could connect the video source to a receiver with HDMI IN and HDMI Out (ARC), computer speakers or an audio extractor. (If you are using an HDMI cable between the Gateway LP2417 and a computer, you may need to reset the audio output to use basic computer speakers (3.5mm jack).) No you don't need a driver. These are very plain powered speakers that come with a mains adapter and a lead with a 3.5mm stereo jack at both ends. Plug one in the speaker and the other into the headphone jack on the front or the speaker socket on the back which will either be a socket on the motherboard, or if your son put a sound card in the computer, it will be in a sound card. If it doesn't play straight away, go into Settings - Audio and make sure the sound card or the On-Board Audio is enabled. f you want to use your touch screen on your gateway computer in an upside down orientation, there are a few things you need to do. First, you need to change the orientation of the screen in the control panel. To do this, go to the control panel and select "Display." They deleted the Operating System by deleting their own stuff Docs, images, Saved Links etc. and also everything in Windows System probably in spite. You need to reload the operating system (Win 11) from fresh. Charge them from their final pay check, or ask IT to do it.

When I Google the model number the first thing that shows is Replacement LCD Screens for it which leads me to believe there is an issue with them. There is three parts to the display, the video card section, the exciter module and the screen itself. It needs correct diagnosis, or buy a new one now you have reset it clean, if that is what you mean by 'hard restart'? You might mean 'hard boot', power off and back on without proper shutdown.
