I am having a problem
If you forgot your password, you must reset your router. Unfortunately this process will change all your settings back to the factory
defaults.
To reset the router, locate the reset button (hole) on the rear panel of the unit. With the router powered on, use a paperclip to hold the
button down for 10 seconds. Release the button and the router will go through its reboot process. Wait about 30 seconds to access
the router. The default IP address is 1 .168.0.1. When logging in, the username is admin and leave the password box empty.

You want to secure the wireless network.
Is there any computer connected to the router with the Ethernet cable?
If not then you will need to connect the computer to the router with the cable.
Check the IP address on the computer. Open the router set up page.
Once you open the set up page, you will find the option to make it secured

The cd does not work
Are you trying to set up the router.
You can do it manually without the CD.
Make sure that your computer is able to go online through the modem.
If your computer is not able to go online through the modem then you will need to call ISP first.
If your computer is able to go online through the modem
then you need to connect the computer to the router and the modem to the router.
open the set up page of the router and change the settings of the router according to the ISP.

Keep losing connectivity
This is usually caused by the setup of the TCP/IP properties, most people do not have static IP addressing, so open the Wireless Connetion Properties window, find the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and select it then select the properties button to bring up another window showing the properties for this, select the "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically", OK out of these dialogs and that should take care of it.
When i plug in my router the ip address changes
This issue is possibly due to a configuration problem
1.Log into router
2. Verify wireless router name( on the computer) >>> ( on/off)
3.Note router name you are connecting to.
4.. Check the laptop do ipconfig /all to see current IP addresses.
5. Set the laptop up in the router by WEP KEY or MAC address.
6.Note router name you are connecting to.
7. Move the laptop about 20ft away and try to log on to the internet.
This is for all routers to set up wirelessly.

Are you trying to set up router ?
You can set up your router manually, without the CD.
Make sure that your computer is able to go online directly through the modem.
If your computer is able to go online through the modem, that means the modem is working fine.
You will need to connect the computer to the router and the modem to the router.
open the set up page of the router and change the settings of the router according to the ISP.

I can not access my dlink system configuration
Hi Thanks for your question.
What you need to do is.
1. Click start and go to run
2. In run box put cmd
3. This should take you to the command prompt you need to type there ipconfig
4. You will be showed your network settings and your default getaway address is the address of your router
5. Type this address in your browser it should take you straight to your router site.

Can't establish connection by cable
Assuming you would have checked your LAN port. Try using a USB LAN port device and see if it picks up. Else you can test connecting the modem via Ethernet cable to another machine. Does it work,? If it does then its your machine.
Fails to connect
try to reset by pushing the button in the back then run the setup wizard by accessing your routers page via the ip address if you do not know your routers ip address plug it into your computer with an ethernet cable open up your command prompt and type in ipconfig then enter and look for your default gateway
DNS Server is not responding
On your computer, Click on Start and then RUN and type CMD... on the black screen/DOS prompt type there FlushDNS and press enter, this will clear out the DNS and should work
Wireless connection stopped
try unplugging the connection for the modem and router each for 30 seconds, then plug them each back in again.
We have 2 laptops going through this router and
First you need to verify that what kind of Internet connection you have from the satellite and what you need to do on the router so that it can communicate with the modem like MAC address cloning or changing the LAN IP Address. On the basis of that we will need to reconfigure the router back as it might happen due to a power outage or small network glitch the router might have lost the settings stored on it.
The ipod cannot access the wifi in our house

If your network is secured then make sure that you are typing the correct network key.
also make sure that the DHCP server is enabled on the router.
is there any computer connected to the router ?
If yes then you can open the router set up page on that computer.
