GE APH10AA - beeps once when plugged in but doesnt turn on

It could be just the start capacitor for the compressor that has gone out. Easy way of checking is to take a screwdriver and short across the leads after you have unhooked it from the wiring connectors (don't touch metal while doing this, it CAN shock you) and take an analog meter, put it on ohms for resistance, and touch it across the two connectors. The meter should jump, then switch leads and touch them again. It should jump consistently like this. If it's not that, then it's probably either faulty wiring, switch or if all else fails it could be the compressor went to ground. Take off the leads going to it, again set the meter to full resistance, and put one lead on copper tubing going into the compressor, and touch each pin of the connector on unit. If any of them read anything, then it is the compressor. Hope this helps.

Descktop computer turns on, but no video

Hi, I'm assuming your motherboard has a built-in video card. Let's trying doing it by the numbers. 1. Remove all memories, cards, FDD, IDE or SATA cables from the motherboard. What should be left are only the power supply connector, the CPU + Heatsink & fan; 2. With the unit off & unplugged, pry/remove the 3V memory battery. Short the CMOS reset jumper. This is normally located very near the battery. If you can post brand/model of MB, we can probably point the exact location or you can go to the manufacturer's website and download the pdf file of the manual; 3. Leave it with no battery and the CMOS reset (not default) jumper in place. Give it a couple of minutes; 4. Re-insert the battery and remove the jumper from reset position and replace it back to default position (its original position); 5. Connect keyboard, power cord, monitor video cable (onboard video connector is below the printer port and beside the serial COM1 port) and; 6. Power up. Most cases you will have a series or combinations of beeps since there is no memory (and no video since the onboard video uses shared memory). Sometimes no beeps at all. Power off; 7. Install a single stick of memory. It would be a good idea to clean the edges/connector pins of the memory stick with the use of a pencil eraser. Further use a clean/new paintbruh to remove any other dirt. Use the same brush on the slot where the memory is to be placed. Seat the memory into one of the memory slots. Power up, there should now be a healthy pre-post beep (if you do not have an onboard video, a long beep will tell you that no video card present). If no beeps nor display in your monitor, power off, remove the memory and place it in the other memory slot and try again. If still a no go, try with another memory following the same sequence. 8. If still a no go, try with your videocard either in AGP or PCI-E slot as applicable; 9. If it works, you're set to re-install everything else; 10. If not, your motherboard and/or processor has to be replaced. Hope this works out for you. Good luck and pls post again how things turn up. Kind regards.

Everything is fine but the the monitor blank

If your speaking of the topic GE air conditioner, then it sounds like the control panel has failed. There is not way to turn the display on or off.

GE AGQ08AH Air Conditioner

to reduce cost, many manufacturers have trimmed off many "extra" functions. i believe your unit had the feature to silence settings change removed to reduce cost. if you think you are up to it, do the following: open it, find the alarm beeper (may be on a circuit board) then cut one wire leading to it. if on circuit board then crush the beeper with vice grips if cannot de-solder it

GE SV850 range hood stopped working

Transformers do usually feel warm. If it is very hot it has likely failed internally. Check for output voltages with a digital multimeter.

I have GE gas oven, getting error code F97

Impossible to say. There are a lot of variables here. Which country, and which model. Even different cities would charge different prices. It is a gas appliance, so you can't work on it yourself. Just for information, we are Fixya dot com, we aren't GE, we don't do pricing for them. The only way is to ask a local appliance shop. A good way is to ask for a recommendation on a local Facebook group where you live.

PTAC Blows Cold Air in Heating Mode when it reaches -3F less than the Set Value on the Thermostat - Model: AZ65H15DABW6

It sounds like your PTAC (packaged terminal air conditioner) unit is malfunctioning. When the thermostat is set to heating mode, the PTAC should be blowing warm air, not cold air. There are a few possible causes for this issue:
  1. The PTAC may be low on refrigerant. If the unit is low on refrigerant, it may not be able to properly heat the air.
  2. The PTAC's reversing valve may be stuck in the cooling position. The reversing valve is responsible for switching the flow of refrigerant between heating and cooling mode. If it is stuck in the cooling position, the PTAC will blow cold air even when the thermostat is set to heating mode.
  3. The PTAC's heating element may be malfunctioning. If the heating element is not functioning properly, the PTAC will not be able to heat the air.
I recommend contacting a trained HVAC technician to diagnose and fix the issue with your PTAC. They will be able to determine the cause of the problem and repair it properly.

Why won't the heater of ge zoneline 2100 stay on

Hi, If the heater goes off right away when you start it, please check the corresponding fuse within your fusebox. Also, checking for any warn wires would be good as well. I would also test other outlets verify that it's not your current power source that's the issue. Thank you.

Why will my GE Zoneline 2100 work on high cool and high heat settings, but on low cool and low heat the fan won't run.

I don’t believe the remote tstat accepts those functions to change the fan speed versus using the on board controls. Try to change the fan speed while using the on board controls and when you have that setup then go back and change it to remote tstat setting.

I have a GE refrigerator model number GTS18GTHSRWW it has stopped cooling and the freezer has stopped also I opened the panel in the back and found three green and yellow wires not connected.

Green and Yellow are earths, so those aren't the issue. You need a service call. The most likely reason is that you have a refrigerant gas leak.
