I have a GE refrigerator model number GTS18GTHSRWW it has stopped cooling and the freezer has stopped also I opened the panel in the back and found three green and yellow wires not connected.

The problem is damper assembly.In the damper assembly there is a door.This door opens and close with the help of motor.The damper is located between freezer and fridge section.The cold air from freezer section enters to fridge section via this damper door.----------
What repairmen did was proper, but may be that door is not properly got open, it got closed again.Or there is ice got collected between the freezer and freezer section, so this is not letting the cool air to pass from freezer to fridge.-----------

This damper assembly needs to be replaced.Actually this door functions correctly with motor.He open the damper door manually and thought, the cool air will enter the fridge section non stop, but that door is again got closed, by some how.---------
You will have to get the damper assembly part replaced, to get the air flow work properly.------- As the repair man has already ordered the part, otherwise you can get this parts from online sites like www.repairclinic.com or from sears parts direct site.--------

where is the freezer?top,bottom or side by side and what is the model number.first off when you open the freezer door do you hear the fan blowing,also touch the back inside wall of the freezer,is there like ice or snow on it,if so you have a defrost problem.G,E, has had a lot of problems with the computer boards,send the model number and let me know what you find and i can help you better
That model refrigerator uses the mother control board for deciding when defrost is to take place. It has no defrost timer or Adaptive Defrost Control like other refrigerators. This sounds like *********** board part number WR55X10942 is malfunctioning. The board decides most functions of your refrigerator. Open the freezer door and look at the back wall. If there is frost on the back wall, you have a defrost problem, which means air cannot circulate over the cooling coils located behind the freezers back wall. You will have to remove the back wall and melt all the frost with a hair blower, then replace the defrost heater. (part number WR51X10055) . This is assuming that the fan by the compressor and the one inside the freezer are working.
The computer control circuit board was found to have a burned out circuit. The board is on the lower back side behind a panel, easy to replace. Just need the proper model number to order the board.
the back panel inside the freezer has screws in it. take out the screws to remove that panel. the coils are behind that. melt all the frost. youll see one or 2 heating elements in there also. replace the elements. its a common ge problem. this will fix the problem
