If you are sure your cables are tight and not defective, then your main board is defective or your signal source is defective.
Tv wont turn on
tried to unplug the tv for a while to reset the power supply and then re plugged and turn it on let see if it will turn on. if still doesn't work and no power at all, at this time you will need to remove the back cover to access the power supply board, then look for a bad fuse or a burnt parts. replaced bad parts with the same value and rating.you can find replacement at www.digikey.com.
Hi i have got a
There's a good chance you have failing electrolytic capacitors either in the power section or the inverter section or both.
Any caps in these sections that look bulged at the top, or bulged/leaking at the bottom need to be replaced.
If you repeatedly turn it off and on, eventually it'll probably stay on, but every time you turn it off, the TV will get harder and harder to start up until one day it just won't.
Sometimes you have to do the opposite to start it up and unplug it for some time and then try again.
If you aren't tech savvy, don't worry, read the rest of this solution and watch the videos.
If you are handy with a soldering iron and can identify the power supply and inverter / FM section for the backlights, an inexpensive handful of capacitors will likely fix you right up.
Match the capacitance on the capacitors. Go over voltage if you can, and still have them fit.
IE - it's not a bad idea to replace a 10V cap with a 16V or 25V or even a 50V, but don't replace a 680uF cap with a 500uF or a 1000uF (unless you are positive it's only doing ripple filtering, and even then, you should go OVER, not under the uF rating).
Most of the caps that go are 10V 1000uF or 3300uF.
I found some great videos of the procedure (for many Samsungs with the same issue) on youtube.

As you can see, this issue spans plasma TVs, as well as large and small LCD TVs and monitors.
The parts are cheap, and skill required is minimal.
This issue is becoming more and more common across a broad number of manufacturers and products.
Hi my son got a 19inch emerson tv for his 2nd
Press the the cursor key up followed by down and power the TV off with the remote or the TV itself. Please use the original remote for this. Unplug the TV for a few seconds...replug and power the TV on. The second thing to try...press the cursor key left followed by the right key. Power the the TV off with the remote or the TV itself. Unplug for a few seconds...replug and power up the TV. Some of these TVs left the factory in the service mode. The fix is pretty simple. Thanks asking and show a few hands of support!
I received a Blue Ray
I couldn't find a picture of the inputs for your television model.
Look at the inputs on your television and the outputs of your blu-ray.
If your TV is high def you should be able to use a HDMI cable from the blu-ray to the television.
There should also be other inputs on the television if you can't use HDMI but they won't have as good of a picture as HDMI. You will need to have cables for video, and cables for the audio in some cases.
This link should help you.

You need to connect a receiver to your TV output and you can use either Surround sound or basic stereo(2 speakers). If this does not solve it,please do not approve/disapprove this yet as it will cut off our link, unless your problem is solved 100%.If you have any questions or need more help, just comment here and I will get an autolink to your post and reply ASAP. Greg I can easily tell you how to get the sound from your DVD/VCR or whatever else you may have hooked up.If you need to know how, tell me everything you have, and what you use to record things if any,and also if you have cable box, dish, etc.
Power inverter board didnot solve the problem.
This problems is the causes of the power supply board. The power supply board have problems,it is not giving the tv the wright voltages anymore. That the board, where the power a/c cord plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
Am not able to program direct tv remote i cant
Hello, thanks for using Fixya.
Your remote should have a code search feature, use this to go over all the codes the remote contains, if the tv does not respond to any of the codes the remote has, then unfortunately the remote will not work with this tv. a newer universal remote would be required.
Logitech harmony would be the best remote in the long term as it can be connected to a computer and new codes can be programmed into it. These normal everyday remotes that you have can not have codes added to them. So if a remote does not work with a tv with the codes that it has, it will not function with that tv.
I can also look up a code for you, they might be the same codes that you have already tried but I could check, if you post me the exact brand and model of the remote.
WEN I TURN ON MY
most likely you need a new inverter pcb, which is the usual cause...a used one can be got cheap on ebay.

Check the power source?Yes,Power supply board is the problems,it dying. That the board on the tv,the power a/c cord plug into it.That the power supply board.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
I have a philips universal remote and a emerson hdtv
The codes are only available from the book that came with your remote. There is a chance that the manufacturer might have them listed online but it's more likely that you will have to replace the remote and make sure you keep the code book next time.
