What kind of oil should be used with this
Pick up some bar and chain oil. Usually comes in a little container, but I have found it in one quart bottles also. Poulan puts there name on a bottle of the stuff and the bottle is that funny poulan green color. I guess that makes it easier to spot.

I have a older remington gas powered chainsaw
An impulse line from the crankcase pressurizes the oil tank to force oil to the chain. On the bottom of this line in the oil tank is duck (one way) valve. I think it has failed (open) and you are sucking bar oil into the crankcase. Loosen the oil cap before putting her to bed to help stop the bar oil from weeping. Key word Help. LOL HTH
