You might be able to get one from the dealer, call around, if not then your best bet is to find one on ebay.
Do you have to go through all the configuring steps to get bike to start after battery reconnect
There shouldn't be any configuring to do. If your battery died or you removed it from the system, all you should have to do is reconnect the good battery, turn power on and hit the starter button. If you have an alarm system and the battery went dead in the FOB you may have to remarry it to the alarm. If you shorted the battery wires somehow and caused spark you may have shorted the TSM (TSSM) and IF you did that you will now have to buy a new TSM (TSSM) module to get the bike to start.
Headlight only work on high replaced bulb still the same
Is the bulb okay on both elemenst when removed and tested if so has anyone been working on handlebars, clutch lever and perch assembly, left switch housings recent past. Check the wires for pinching and switch for operation first off.
Why do signal lights flash when starting
That is a great question that I do not know the answer to and as it has remained unanswered for so long it appears not many others do either. When you get the answer please post a comment and advise the rest of us what the cause is/was. THANKS and GOOD LUCK
My HD 2001 Softtail will not start due to a power drain when i turn it on.
Battery is probably bad, 12.35 volts is only a 50% charged battery and this is a surface charge you have tested so it probably is a no good battery and as soon as any load is put on it it drops further. Replace it with an HD AGM battery. Otherwise recharge it and do a load test on it and see what results you get then
Transmission leak
Gasket(s) or O-Ring(s) is probably defective, you could try putting in the Lucas Transmission Fix, has worked for me in my car, check the label to see if it is motorcycle compatible, if in doubt ask a Harley dealer or a repair shop that specializes in Harleys.
