I have a yellow warning

There are no fuses on your bike. Are you sure that all the bulbs are working?? Check the front parking lamp, is it out??

Check all the lamps on the bike including turn signals etc. If indeed there are no lamps out, then there is some kind of problem with the ZFE which is the module that controls the lamps and other electrical loads on the bike.

Maybe time to check the stored trouble codes with dealer computer or a GS-911 scanner. Your bike is likely still under warranty??

Good Luck!

Onthe front of the motor, just above the starter, there is a small bolt. Remove it to drain the coolant. Replace the copper sealing washer when putting it back. drain-coolant-from-bmw-gs800-zdnm1rbkvdzsdrhmgigr5a3o-3-0.jpg

Where is the fuse panel on a 2009 F8 800 GS?

You have an electronic fuse box, if it is tripped, it will reset itself once the problem is rectified and you switch the ignition off and on again. Go to this site and down load a free Owner's manual:

Engine gets too hot after some running minutes

If the 'white liquid' is like a froth then it is probably water & oil mixed. This happens when there is water in the oil or oil in the water. The usual cause is either the mechanical oil seal behind the water pump leaking or the head gasket leaking. As the right cylinder is covered in this, it is most likely to be the head gasket.
Otherwise it could be that the 'white liquid' is coming from a leaking radiator. If the cooling system is filled with this froth then it wont cool the engine properly.

Hope this helps. If it does then please mark this as 'useful')

Broken clutch lever replacement

You simply remove any rubber covering on the lever to expose the lever assembly. Remove its holding bolts/nuts. Disconnect the clutch-wire from the lever.
Put in new lever followed by other items you removed.

"emergency operating condition"

hi Daveanjos,

i dont own a bmw bike, but this info may help out.

The emergency operation means

The engine is running in emergency operating mode. Engine power might be reduced and this can cause hazardous situations, particularly if you attempt to overtake other road
users. Engine power level might be lower than normal: adapt your
style of riding accordingly. The engine control unit has diagnosed
a fault. In exceptional cases, the engine stops and refuses
to start. Otherwise, the engine runs in emergency operating
mode. You can continue to ride, but bear in mind that the usual engine power might not be available.

Have the fault rectified as quickly as possible by a
specialist workshop, preferably an authorised BMW Motorrad
dealer.

Fuse for the headlights for 650 BMW 2008

On a 2008 BMW 650i, the fuse for the headlights is located in the fuse box under the hood. The specific fuse you need is Fuse #61, which is a 20-amp fuse located in the third row of fuses from the top. To access the fuse box, open the hood and locate the black plastic cover on the right side of the engine bay. There should be a diagram on the underside of the cover showing the layout of the fuses. Once you've found the correct fuse, you can use a fuse puller or a pair of needle-nose pliers to remove it from the fuse box. It's always a good idea to check the owner's manual for your specific vehicle to get the most accurate and up-to-date information on the location and function of the various fuses.
