2010 jeep, ac quit blowing air thru ac vent, only on floor/defroster vents

the mode selector is often vacuum controlled. a simple leaky vacuum line can stop proper vent operation. the plastic hoses become brittle so small cracks can appear. can be tough to find.

Heater blows air thru floor vents and dash vents but no air thru defrost windshield vent

Suspect a defective blend door actuator motor that controls airflow for the defrost. This electric motor may be defective and in some makes and models can be extremely difficult/expensive laborwise to replace

Cannot getr air to come throw the dash vents

Usually a faulty blend door under the dash. The blend doors direct air thru the heater core and the vents.

Hot air through floor in 99 Suburban when blower is switched off

I the short answer is yes. The truck has a flow-thru vent feature as does most GM products. When the fan switch is off the outside air would flow into the truck.
I thought you could still direct the air by way of the control panel, but by the wiring diagram it looks like everything is disabled when the fan switch is in the off position.

I cannot get any air, hot or cold, fresh or a/c, to come thru the vents in the dash. Floor vents and defrost are the only source of air flow. What now ???

Sounds like the lil motor on the bottom side vent is bad or else garbabe fell down defrost outlet and has the motor blocked from working..Take something like an screwdriver and work some of the junk out the bottom vent..Hope this helps...

A/C not blowing thru vents just defroster and floor

It is a vent door actuator motor on top of the blower box,the dash has to be removed and set in the seats to replace the actuator motor.Cost for the part is about 50.00 dollars

Air blows out thru the vents but just no hot air, aslo i have to hit the dash for the air to come out thru the dash vents at times.

sounds like bad acuator motor, this is what moves the door in heater box to set hot or cold air, and other motors to set air to blow thru defrost, vent or floor. good luck.
