I have a Audi a6 2001- tiptronic gear box. When I'm stopped to a traffic light and i try to leave a little bit faster(accelerate a little bit harder) suddenly all the power is gone, and is coming back only after a powerful shock? What can it be?

thank you for your suggestion- I replaced the battery 3 month ago and the voltmeter on the instrument cluster is showing steady 15 volts. Actually i think i described the wrong symptoms.
Actually it seams that the gears are not changed properly when i accelerate a little bit harder, and when the gear change happens- happens with a shock. As hard as i will press the gas pedal no power is transferred to the wheels for a couple of moments. Thanks again and hopefully you can put me on the right track regarding this problem.

Have the alternator tested. Sounds like the alternator is surging. Replace it, and possibly the battery (check date on battery) If more than a year old, I recommend replacing it. If alternator tests bad, it will need replaced.

Renault trafic wont start...engine warning light flashing

The light and the word stop should be sending you a clear message . The engine hard starting and sluggish is also sending a message and if you do not heed the message and have the fault codes read and the problem fixed then the next message may be replace the engine or gear box . The light is there --not to be an annoyance ---but to inform you that something drastic is going wrong and it needs urgent attention.

1999 AUDI A6 avant 2.8L quattro. Car vibrates

This is a manual transmission? If so the clutch probably needs to be replaced. When you say "VIOLENTLY" what is going on, what is the road speed, what are the RPMs at? The more specific information the better. And this problem ONLY occurs between gear changes, right? The other times, everything is normal?

Tiptronic automatic gear box

At the bottom of the automatic gearbox (tiptronic) you will find 2 threaded plugs on below surface. First (in front of the car) is for emptying, and second is for filling up. Tightening torque is 24 Nm. Please Rate my Response! Thanks!

2000 Audi A6 tiptronic 2.5tdi. Gearbox warning light on, no 5th

You need to give the car a scan, preferably with VCDS (or VAS at a dealer). If limp mode is activating (lit up gear selections), then it will be storing codes.
The fact that it works to a degree could be good news, the gear box has likely not failed. Could be the F125 selector switch, which is a common fail at this age.
