HI, I have an 1998 Toyota altezza rs200,

Hi,

I have an 1998 Toyota altezza rs200, tiptronic. My problem is that the ect/pwr light sometimes flashes and when it does flash it seems to affect the tiptronic as the tiptronic doesn't work. But when its not flashing the tiptronic is fine.

Would appreciate any help.

I had the same prob with mine it is a solidnoid in the gear box which goes falty and can be repaired with a bit of soldering hpe this helps m. sirfraz

check to see if there is a separate ect for the trans,scanner would be best if able to find a obd2 scan tool

Altezza RS200 crunching and grinding left front wheel when breaking or turing left, had breaks done?

I have a 1998 altezza rs200 and when I press on the gas pedal the car keeps drawing back until it reaches a distant it would pick up the pace, also when the car is not moving the oil gauge would drop and...

You need to have a fault code test run on the engine control computer, this is done with a OBD2 fault code reader

yes the solenoid will solve this problem due to the fact that if it is not opening on time it is not creating pressure in the right clutch and valve on the tiptronic system

ECT PWR light appeared on dash

ECT is you engine coolant temperature. i suggest you have you ect sensor inspected.
