sounds like you have it apart and not so sure about reassembly. If these are drum brakes try looking at the drum brake change videos on Youtube, ericthecarguy (ETCG) is a good one. Drum brakes are all basically similar with the main difference usually around self adjusters.

Need diagram for rear drum brakes on 2004 mercury sable

Try using a Web search and use Photos for the word Diagram. If you use Diagram, most likely all you will get is a linear Diagram similar to a wiring Diagram and of no use to you.
Drum brakes are easy, just take off the rubber adjuster cover and tweak the STAR wheel to collapse the brakes and make them narrower. Sometimes you may have to loosen the Emergency brake cable because it cantilevers the only brakes you have in the rear wheel. (Unlike a Rotor which has 2 brake systems inside of each rear wheel.)

I have a 1990 laredo charokee I'm need a diagram of how to put on the brake drum please

DIAGRAM?? THE DRUM SLIDES ON RIGHT OVER THE BRAKE SHOES. ONLY THING THAT CAN PREVENT THAT IS IF THERE IS AN EXCESSIVE RUST RIDGE ON THE LEADING EDGE OF THE DRUM, YOU HAVE THE ADJUSTER WHEEL EXTENDED TOO FAR (ADJUST BACK A BIT) OR IF THE EMERGENCY BRAKE IS EITHER PARTIALLY ON OR ADJUSTED TOO TIGHT.

Brake shoes

Hi, not sure if you will be able to get a diagram or not. If you are looking to do your brakes yourself, you can block up one side of the car and pull the brake drum off. Once the drum is off, you will be able to see all of the parts and how they go together. Then jack up the other side and replace the brake shoes. Use the blocked up side with drum removed as a reference when putting the other side back together, then switch sides. This is how I have done it before and it works really well...maybe better than a diagram.
