Is the vehicle currently running and setting the code ckp comp correlation code?

  • P1345 - Crankshaft Position (CKP)-Camshaft Position (CMP) Correlation.Let me know I believe I may be able to assist in correcting this issue. If it's not starting we'll have to reset the distribitor and bring the the engine to top dead center on cylinder 1.

1998 Chevy Silverado 1500 5.7 motor. I think my friend put the rotor to the distributor back on wrong? which way should it go on please?

    Question edited for clarity.
    Question moved to model category/

They can only go in one way. The is a notch in the rotor that has to fit on the shaft. It put on wrongly, you can't get the cap on. Take the cap off and try to turn the rotor. It should not move, and be locked in place.

I have a Chevy Silverado trailer towing edition with a 454 motor in it, the distributor is not turning when you turn it over what could be the problem

there may be a little roll pin broke that holds the gear on bottom of distributor shaft...costs about 50 cents .....fun to change....you have to retime motor to no. 1 by timing marks then re-install distibutor at no. 1 firing position.....i had a 1984 ford ranger that done that to me on opening day of bow season....it also backfired and luckily i had fire extinguisher ...

Distributor not rotating after changing the fuel pump on 3.8 chevy

The 3.8 liter engine has a timing chain. The distributor shaft should be turning if your timing chain is still intact. Have you pulled it out and reinstalled it? Maybe you did not get it seated right.
This must not be a '99 Silverado as shown in the heading? Give a reply back, and explain please. You replaced a fuel pump in the gas tank, and now the distributor shaft is not rotating? There is no plausible relation between the two-please explain.

take # 1 spark plug out, turn crank shaft till piston on # 1 reaches top dead center TDC, timing marks on crank shaft should line up, replace distributor making sure rotor points to # 1 spark plug wire.

2000 chevy silverado v6 vortec engine, died driving, changed fuel pump, plugs wires, etc. and still wont start. ever heard of that

1st, check to see if the fuel pump runs for 3 seconds when you turn the key to run (not start). If it doesn't run, then check the fuel pump fuse & relay in fuse box under hood, if OK, (spray starting fluid in the intake to see if engine fires at all), if no fire then look towards the ignition as the problem. There are 5 things need to start an engine: 1. fuel (delivered & pressure), 2. air, 3. spark (distributor/ignition module or pickup coil), 4. rotation & timing, 5. compression. any of these that are wrong or not there, the engine fails.
