There's two ways to retrieve the code. 1. Put the key in the ignition and turn the key to the "ACC" position, then back to "Off", then ACC, and Off, then ACC. (Off, ACC, Off, ACC, Off, ACC) You don't have to do it fast, just hold each position for about 1 second. On the final "ACC" position, the trouble code should flash in the digital odometer. (P#####) When you have the code, you can Google it and you'll see what the code means. 2. Use your scan tool (Or use Autozone's) and plug into the OBDII port under the dashboard and pull the code. They should have a book that tells you what the code means.

If you purchase a hand help scanner, they are under a $100, it will give you the codes and if you page down it will tell you what is wrong. You can also use the scanner at the auto parts store for free and it will tell you the same thing. Hope This Helped Tim
