Hi:
You should have your right drive axle inspected, especially the rubber CV joint boot. if it is split open , it is the most likely cause of the grease you found. Unfortunately, the damage to it is already done, and that is what the vibrations are most likely caused by a worn out CV joint. To fix or repair it, you need to replace the cv joint or drive axle assembly

The grease is from the axle shaft bearing protector maybe broken leaving the grease to come out and making a mess, if the axle shaft coupling is defective due to running with no grease it may cause vibration, hope it helps, please rate

Intermitent vibating in my front driver side tire only

Have your tires checked for cupping, make sure they are balanced and alignments is good. If all is good with the tires, could be the wheel hub bearing assembly starting to fail or a bad front strut. Normally chain repair shops will check these things for free.

Please any suggestion ? 98' V8 5.2 ; Won't turn after highway run ! Either left or right, cranky noise , shaking ,strong vibration from the front wheels.BUT; when is cooling down -after 30 min.

I suggest that you check your front CV joints. It is common for the boots to tear, allowing the grease to leak out. Lack of lubrication, dirt and moisture destroys the joint. You can purchase a remanufactured shaft ready to install at some part stores. I have a '93 Grand Cherokee with 220,000 miles, and over its life, I have replaced both sides twice. Good luck!

I have a 2.4 vtec with 5spd, when I accelerate I get a serious vibration. I've checked the mounts and replaced the right side axle to no avail.

IF your front end is jacked and your front tires are spinning you should be able to see the vibrations. Use a stethoscope on your motor and tranny to isolate vibrations while running.

In your case id start with wheel balancing first. Have them balanced on the car too (ofcourse). Having it only at a specific speed indicates its a harmonic vibration (vibrations that only occur when something rotating, reaches given speeds)
So yeah, start with cheapest repairs and go from there.

I highly doubt its your mounts unless they arn't sitting or torqued properly. If your confident they were installed perfectly i'd ignore that possibility.

Also, with front end jacked and car not running wiggle your wheels left/right, and up/down to see if any play. Spin them and look at them from the front to see if they wobble.

other causes are, tire with a bad tread, one thats about to separate, this is what caused my car to vibrate
deeper causes can include a bad flywheel,, broken or bad motor mount, and a simple alignment

01 sonoma 4x4 sounds like a prop plane at low speeds and lesser at high speeds. could it be the tires or a wheel bearing. It's been doing this for a month

possible wheel bearing. Front I ASSUME?? jack up truck so both wheels are off the ground, (use jack stands) now spin wheel while holding the coil spring with your hand, and compare the right with the left side. If you feel the vibration through the spring, the bearing is bad. If it does not have springs, then hold the spindle.

My 2009 silverado's hood vibrats at highway speeds the mirroe on driver side as well and the interior noize increases with speed and it sounds like the windshield is going to break but there is no...

If it is an 09 it is still under warranty, the dealership should fix this for free.

If you want to look at it yourself I would suggens looking at the hood hinges and the front core support mounts.

E300 merc vibrating noise from under right side of engine

You are luckey it happen at idel. Open the hood and put your hand on various sheetmetal and plastic parts until the noise goes away. When you determine the piece at fault, see if some screws are missing or if it can be repositioned to avaoid the noise. Does not sound serious.

03 Trailblazer Front End Noise/Vibration

I had similar problem with my 03 trailblazer. It had a low dull hum in the front end with a little vibration being felt in gas pedal. Noise increased over a couple weeks and was louder turning to the left and quiter turning to right. A GM mechanic friend of mine replaced the front right hub and took care of the problem. Hub was about $160 at Autozone.
