Engine hot, oil dip stick too hot to touch gages all fine no problems with it just got raditor flushed thought that was the problem

Your dipstick is supposed to be hot. The oil runs over the hot mechanisms and back into the pan and cooler oil cycles through again. The warmer your engine the better it will run. ( don't want it to overheat though) my car runs about halfway between the middle and three fourths mark on the thermostat. And it runs great. Hope this helps!:)

Car gets temp gauge goes when sitting idle, why?

Have you checked the coolant level after you did some driving. Often you will get an air lock in the system which will eventually work its way out after you drive a little. As the sender for the temperature gauge is at the top of the engine, it is possible that it is not fully immersed in coolant and hence is giving bad readings. Topping up the coolant will fix that. Some vehicles can be very hard to purge of air and some even have air bleed points located on the top of the engine as it is the only way to get all the air out.

2007 pontiac grand prix headlights

I drive a 07 Grand Prix and the low beams randomly went out. Could not get them to come back on, but all of the other lights worked (inside, parking, and high beams). found a forum online that recommended replacing the fuse/thing at location #35 in the fuse box under the hood. It worked immediately!! Got the part at Advanced Auto parts for $35 dollars.

I need to Remove and replace the harmonic balancer on my 5.3...everyone talks about lowering the cradle but no instructions on how to do this

Jack the passenger side up on the cradle. Use a jack stand or blocks for safety, behind the cradle. Remove the tire. remove the dust shield. To lower the cradle there are two bolts to release, front and back. You might have to remove the cover under the bumper to get to the front one. remove those bolts and lower down the cradle. You might have to pry down on the cradle and use a block to hold it down to get the balancer out.

How do I troubleshoot my lumbar support not working on a 2007 Pontiac grand prix gxp

ZANE, Im AL the owner of Big As Auto Repair. This is a simple test, you'll need to gain access to the lumbar motor and disconnect the wiring connector and install a volt meter and move the switch to see if you are getting power and ground to the motor. If in fact you are getting both power and ground at the connector then you know the motor is bad and need to be replaced. Check out my auto-repair-website here: http://www.bigasautorepair.com/
