Door repairs

The doors have a pin and washers that help keep the door functioning right. There is a kit they sell at your local auto parts store for about 10. bucks with new washers and a pin. More than likely the washers are broken and need to be replaced. Its a fairly easy job. Just cut off the clamp at the bottom of the pin push it out and placethe old washers with new washers then place in the new pin with the c clamp at the end.

Wiring diagram for 2000 ford windstar auto sliding doors

I've ran into this issue before, its the pin switches on the doors themselves, the sliding contacts plain old wear out, Ford has an updated pin switch assy for both sliding doors, much more robust. Visit your local Ford Dealer Parts department and they can help you out, the kit comes with a new harness for inside the door, pin switches and contact pads for both doors.

Door Ajar Warning malfunction

The switches on the door latch get dirty and don't make good you can take them off and clean them they get croodded. or you can but new ones sometimes from the parts store and you can order from the dealer. The rear hatch also has these switches as do all the doors so sometimes it's hard to pick which switch is bad the wire off the switch is door closed so you can just unplug them. The drivr door has a combation switch that alson doubles as a key in and security system key being turned twice to reset security system. because it's like this fixing it right is a better idea. a scanner hooked to the vehical directed to the body control module shows all the door switches and allows you to see if their oped or closed. Some cherokees had a display in the center console and the door open will be shown. The wore to the switch going though the door hinge area can and does break and now the switch does'nt apper to change deflault is door open.

Hello, I just bought a 1994 Jeep YJ (Sahara). The doors do not fit right. Is this a common problem? How do i fix? the pins seem to be straight, and the hinges have not moved (no sign of damage or...

Hello, if the doors aren't closing right you can loosen the bolt that the doors latch onto, it is a torx, then move it up or down so that it closes well. Otherwise you can bend the door pins slightly. What can happen is that the body shifts with the removal of the hard top or if someone unbolted the roll cage to put down the front wind screen. Get the doors going good by adjusting the bolt that the door jam latches onto to keep the door closed. Then tighten everything good. It is common that they don't close right. Also, while you're at it, pull up the carpet where the seatbelts are in front and look for rust on the floor. YJ's are know for the seat belt ripping out of a rusted floor and the passengers going through the windshield. But I still love jeeps. Cheers bro.

Rear door lock is stuck, cannot close door 1993 jeep larado

you probably nee d a new door latch assembly; inside the door, take alot of wd40, lube the door latch were it closes against striker pin, to free the movable part of the latch; push in on the door handle (like your opening the door), at the same time use a pointy screwdriver awl or flat blade scredriver and push the latch up and out of the locked position, its the movable part in the door latch, hopefully its not bent and will not move. also sometimes the door hinges wear out and the latch striker does not line up with the door latch pin, see if they line up if they do not close the door while lifting it at the same time. I hope this helps you

Inside door handles

These items are dealer item only. You would have to get them at the honda dealer. He has a parts diagram to show all the parts that may be needed. My suggestion you start there and price the parts that you need. I hope this helps. Don't forget to rate my answer. Thanks.
