My 2005 buick cxl won't start. I am getting a error message "charging system failure" on the dashboard display. The battery seems to be working fine, everything comes on.

Hello. This means for some reason your alternator is not functioning properly. The engine will start and run until your battery goes dead. If you have a voltmeter display on your dashboard the needle will be below 12 to confirm that the alternator is not functioning properly. You need to have this checked out before your battery goes dead so you don't end up stranded on the road. I hope this helps, good luck.
The key turns all the way but the engine won't start.
I don't fully understand what you're asking. Please explain/elaborate as I am very limited in my knowledge when it comes to car.
Thank you!
Thank you for trying!
