I have a 97 Pontiac grand prix super charged my fuel gauge doesn't work wanna know what's wrong with it

It could be a couple of things. Could be the fuse in the dash, could be the power relay under the hood or more then likely the sending unit itself has died and gone. My guess and only a guess since you mentioned no codes, is that the sending unit in the fuel tank has died.

97 jeep grand cherokee, fuel gauge stopped working so i checked all fuses relays changed fuel pump(brand new)still the gauge dose not read what should i look in to next

did you change sending unit? that is what sends the signal of amount of fuel. if so then your gauge motor is worn. get a new cluster from wreckers. check all wiring for bad grounds

Put in new fuel pump and sending unit. but my gas gauge doesnt always work. sometimes is does and sometimes it doesnt

if it worked for a short period of time after doing the pump/sending unit the check the connections going to the pump/sending unit they would have been moved around doing the pump

Fuel gauge is broken

there is a purple wire on the fuel pump harnes if you put a ground to it the guage should jump past full if working if that being the case you sending unit in the tank is bad as for the oil presure is most likely the sending unit for it as well should be located on the engine block besid distributer

Gas guage doesnt work

It sounds like a problem with the fuel gauge sender unit in the fuel tank which has worn out and gone open circuit and needs replacing. Access to the unit is usually through a removable plate in the floor in the rear of the vehicle. Disconnect the wiring connector and any hoses and then remove the securing screws. Replacement is done by reversing procedure.

Gas gauge does not work correctly.

the sending unit is a variable resistor(potientiometer ) on the fuel pump
its probly bad it requiers a couple confirmation tests prier to dropping your gas tank and changing the pump but I got my money on that sending unit 97% of the time new fuel pump will fix it you coul change just the sending unit but you still have to pay almost as much and its the same job smartest thing too do is change the whole thing

My oil gauge doesnt work and my fuel gauge stays on full why and what do i do

Sending units. One for the oil, on the engine. The fuel gauge works from the sending unit in the tank, check connections.

2002 monte carlo fuel gauge doesnt work, pump works ok.

It is likely the fuel level sending unit. I had a customer with an 03 Monte Carlo that the pump went out and the fuel gauge hadn't worked in about a year. We replaced the fuel pump module and it took care of both problems. I believe the sending unit is available separately from the complete module.

Fuel gauge doesnt work replaced sending unit

sounds as if the wires are not connected and the float is stuck a ground wire or power wire is not making contact remove and reinspect both .would love to hear how you made out but 1 st check the fuses to ensure the fuse is good

I have 2 problems, one is my fuel gauge isn't working properly, wondered if it's the fuel sending unit or something else, and 2, if someone could tell me why i have a 3rd brake light, but the other br

It could be a couple of things it could be your sending unit. a bad wire. or possibly the gauge its self. but the bad thing is you have to take your gas tank down to check the wires and sending unit. if you take the tank off you can pull out the fuel pump and sending unit and use a ohm meter to see if the sending unit is reading all the ranges correctly hope this helps you out
